The refs get graded on every call they make. The ones with the highest marks do the playoffs.

Are these really the best refs of the ones with the most calls/self promotion. I mean how do you score NON calls? You could call holding on every nfl play. So do they see a holding call, say yes it was a hold, and then the ref is 1 for 1? That would be biased for refs who throw more flags.

Which would explain the game we see today. More flags.

Do you guys think the ref grading process is biased towards refs who throw a lot of flags?
