I'm not a lawyer but this indictment looks soft. I wonder what the over/Under is on how many of the 22 counts will stick? I'd say a fair line might be:

Makes for a very interesting read.

What is frightening, is in reality, BOS, and the defendants who are non US persons ( physical and corporate ) are in a pickle.

To try and defend the litigation, by default grants that the US Gov has the jurisdiction in the case.

IMHO, the proper position to take would be that the US has no jurisdiction, as the base of operations, comapnies, offices, servers, etc are not in the US, and as such not subject to the US courts, while at the same time seeking some form of declaratory judgment in the UK & antigua protecting them from the enforcement of any judgment that may be handed down by a US court, thereby making it unenforceable.

Unfortunately in that scenario it leaves anyone in Custody hanging in the wind, but does protect the monies and the shareholder's interests

Many of these charges are window dressing for the public's feeble-minded consumption, especially those involving the Wire Act. The charges the Feds will try to make stick are those that stem from the seed that was planted in the NY/Florida operation. Not surprisingly, those activities were in fact illegal based on laws already being enforced. Clearly the government is connecting the dots back to the onshore operation as they know that is where they have legitimacy in their case against BoS. This is reflected in this key statement in the court papers; "Through all these relocations, Gary Kaplan and the other defendants always operated, and caused the operation of their primary revenue-producing business, illegal sports wagering, in the United States."

The government is also linking the offshore operation to the US via the shared accounts and financing for their onshore marketing corporations. The intermingling of finances allows the prosecution to create this linkage. Based on this premise, I suspect Counts 2, 13, and 14 will be the foundation for the government's case with all the additional counts existing for PR purposes only, as they have no legal precedence or basis.

Most assuredly these executives will be forced to pay a price for having operated on US soil. That price will be steep but ultimately it won't shut down the BoS operation. Their bottom line will stay intact and Chuck Sims will continue to have his sole reason for existing.

BetOnSports(SBR rating D-) expected to be offline at least until the weekend. The sportsbook will confront the USA which issued an order for BOS to stop all transactions with US residents. The US has also ordered BOS to return all money to its US citizen clients. "

            And No-US citizen clients?

isetcap, as usual, you're clueless. You ripped me for warning players about these crooks. If you had any common sense you would STFU. I can only hope people did not pay any attention to you.

To say BOS will be back to business as usual after this mess is so idiotic for you to say I can only think you're totally in the dark in your mothers basement.

Great Post! It really is wonderful to see you comment on something other than BoS.

I'm an idiot. I'm clueless. I'm in the dark. I'm in my mother's basement.

                Glad you're around, genius.
