I know it's about athletes... but I just remembered how much a hate the referee Ron Cherry. I can't stand how he talks. He's slow like Emily Haines... and right when I turn a game on that I wagered and he makes the first call... I turn off the TV... the guy ruins my night.

Biography: She was born Ashley Harlan and grew up as a local girl in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Laurel High School in 2004 where she was an outstanding athlete in her own right. She excelled in basketball, softball, and volleyball. No football in this WAG’s background, but we know that she was a huge Steelers fan growing up. She is 26 years old this year.
Ashley went on to college at St. Francis University (Loretto campus) where she played on the college softball team. She is one of those beautiful smarty pants chicks who equals athletic ability with brains (with the possible exception of matters of the heart). She was a member of the honor society at her school and an All-American scholar-athlete, one of those awards they started giving several years ago when colleges started pretending they cared about the academic development of their student athletes.
She eventually graduated with a degree in health sciences in 2008 but the future Mrs. Roethlisberger wasn’t quite done yet strutting her stuff academically. She went on to receive a master’s degree in medicine and now works as an assistant at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh in cardiac surgery.
They were married on July 23, 2011 at Christ Church (yes Ben in church!) at Grove Farm, which is a town north of Pittsburgh. Now less than one year later after undoubtedly investing in considerable hanky panky in bed, Ashley Roethlisberger is now knocked up, dutifully preggers with their first child. It is a boy or a girl? If they know, they are keeping the answer as secret as the Steelers’ playbook.
Ashley is a good girl. A little secret in her attempt to transform her husband into a respectable human being is that she wouldn’t shack up with him until after the wedding. We don’t know about the sex but at least she wasn’t all over him. Where is Ashley’s Facebook and Twitter pages? Don’t know because we cannot find them. We would love to get in touch to congratulate the new mama.
It was just two summers ago that Ben Roethlisberger was at the center of a sexual assault case in Milledgeville, Georgia. Now, in the words of Vince Vaughn in Swingers, he’s all growns up, as Big Ben tied the knot last night to now-wife Ashley Harlan.
The wedding ceremony was held in Ohio Township, Pa., and while the event was heavily guarded by security, you can view the wedding pictures (taken by Goldstein Photography) of the new Mr. and Mrs. Roethlisberger here:
