I think you can even make a case for Patterson and Morris being better, and meaning alot more to the team then Lin. Either way, Parsons is Hardens "Robin", not Lin.

Although, I guess Lin could be Asiks "Robin" since Lin shoots 33% and Asik averages 4 offensive rebounds a game ..

Lin is pretty average, but decent guards don't grow on trees, and he has shown plenty of ability. Patterson shouldn't be getting the minutes he is, though, the Rockets should look to try both Aldrich and Smith at Forward as they're both very good Centers who are pretty wasted waiting behind Asik (who is excellent).

Parsons impressed the hell out of me last night. He's clearly the 2nd best white American guy behind Kevin Love. I wish that dude wasn't playing for such a rival to my Hawnits.

I think Lin is a good young PG. He's better than say a Darren Collison because he has nice size. He's still started well under 50 games in his career - you have to treat him as you would a rookie PG. He's definitely a legit starting NBA point guard - although I agree he's not yet top 15. H

They love him in China / Taiwan plus the Asian draw here at home makes him a profitable player for the Rockets regardless of his ability. Owners want to win sure, but making money always takes precedence and Jeremy Lin will make money for whatever team hes on especially for the Rockets due to Asian Legacy in Ming.
