MyBookie has this rule listed on their site:

MyBookie is a recreational sportsbook and will only accept recreational action and/or players. We reserve the right to close an account and/or forfeit winnings whenever we have identified any behavior that is deemed ‘non-recreational’.

They have decided to steal $1250 from me claiming that I made steam plays.

I made 3 wagers for $500, $500, $250 in a 5 minute period one morning and according to their reasoning:

One play became a steam play on Donbest 15 minutes after I bet it.
The 2nd play I made became a steam play on Donbest 5 hours after I had bet it.
The 3rd play was not a steam play at all.

This is according to their head linesman and even though they were not steam plays when I bet them, 2 of the 3 became steam plays which means I am non-recreational. Huh?????

I explained that I cannot control what other people wager and the only way this can be avoided 100% of the time is if I bet 1 minute before games start.

I also explained that I had a long wager acceptance delay in my account from the start making it virtually impossible to bet steam plays even if I wanted to.

They deleted my wagers and did not reach out to me about the situation at all.

I only found out the next week when I logged into my account and saw this message:
Account blocked! Steam evidence-Canadian football. Please call in and ask for the lines manager. Steam plays are not allowed.

This is when I called and was told that all 3 of my plays that had won were deleted.

After probably over 1000 wagers, my last 3 I needed to complete my rollover get flagged as steam? Seriously?

At this point I contacted SBR and filed a complaint.

SBR tried on my behalf and agreed that the reason (steam) for confiscating my money was unacceptable but MyBookie did not budge.

At this point I withdrew the remainder of my money.

I was paid the other money but not the confiscated $1250.

Here are some other reasons not to play at MyBookie:
-They forced me to complete a 2nd rollover of $15,000 of full game straight bets only, after I had completed the original rollover because the majority of my plays were on props and 2h's.
-They told me that they would go back into my account and delete any wager I made that beat the closing line if I decided to make this public by posting about it on the forum.
-These 3 deleted wagers were the exact last wagers needed to complete the fictional 2nd rollover.

I was a pretty good winner at MyBookie and because of that and that alone I was treated horribly, had to jump through extra hoops before being paid and then eventually stolen from and threatened to have more stolen if I didn't keep my mouth shut.

SBR is obviously the best watchdog/mediator but it just goes to show that a book does not have to work with SBR or listen to SBR if they so choose.

I'm sure there will be some that defend MyBookie and say they always treated them right.

It's always works that way until one day it happens to you.

You have been warned!
