i don't know what the rams see in this kid. he was a good QB playing for louisville, but thats about the extent of his his abilities IMO
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The St. Louis Rams have acquired quarterback Dave Ragone from the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick.
The left-handed Ragone is expected to compete with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jeff Smoker for the No. 3 quarterback job, the Rams said Wednesday. He'll likely play behind starter Marc Bulger and backup Gus Frerotte.
The deal is contingent upon Ragone passing a physical.
The Bengals claimed the 26-year-old Ragone off waivers from Houston on May 24. He was a third-round pick by the Texans in the 2003 draft. He started twice his rookie season, completing 20-of-40 passes for 135 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.
