Edwards says Chiefs' RB could return for '06
Will Chiefs running back Priest Holmes return for the 2006 season?

According to coach Herm Edwards, the chances are 50-50, the Kansas City Star reported.

Holmes, who's recovering from a neck injury, is expected to undergo tests this month to determine his fitness, the Star reported.

"He just wants to make sure he's going to be OK, and I can understand that," Edwards told the paper. "That's something you don't deal with lightly. I anticipate he'll be back. That's my gut feeling."

Edwards is jumping the gun. He still needs to recover from that neck injury.

Holmes has enough money unless he's an idiot. The lifespan of a
RB is less than someone thinks. Bettis and Emmitt were not the
normal RB's.. Tough position. Get pounded 22-25 times a game.

That doesn't mean shit if he doesn't recover.
