Monday Night Football: Giants vs Patriots Picks & Betting Splits
Week 13 of Monday Night Football features two teams on opposite ends of the spectrum when 10-2 New England hosts 2-10 New York at 8:15 PM ET on ESPN.

SBR's Gary Pearson breaks down the action in his Giants vs Patriots MNF prediction:

    Over/Under pick: Under 46.5 (-108 via DraftKings)

Game prediction: Giants +7.5 (-115 via DraftKings)

"The Giants have the second-worst record (2-10), only behind the lowly Tennessee Titans (1-10). However, they are tied for the seventh-best against-the-spread (ATS) record (7-5). They are 3-0 ATS in the previous three games and have a respectable 4-3 ATS road record.

In the last nine games, the G-Men lost by at least eight points only three times. Jameis Winston performed admirably in Dart's absence, pushing the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions to the brink.

Winston will now give way to Dart, who has cleared concussion protocol. The G-Men would have almost assuredly beaten Chicago in Week 10 had Dart remained in the game, with Russell Wilson finding a way to bottle it.

While the Patriots have won a league-best nine in a row, they won three of four by six points or fewer, covering twice. Mike Vrabel's team failed to cover last week in Cincinnati despite facing an injury-riddled Bengals team that was without Trey Hendrickson, Ja'Marr Chase, and, at least for most of the fourth quarter, Tee Higgins.

With their bye week on the horizon, it could also represent a letdown spot for the Patriots."

Best prop bet: TreVeyon Henderson Over 60.5 rushing yards (-111 via bet365)

"Henderson hit the Over on this total in four of the previous five games. It helped that Rhamondre Stevenson, who returned to the lineup last week against Cincy, only played in two of those games.

I don't expect the Patriots to change their game plan much with Stevenson back, given how effective and productive Henderson has been. Henderson should be buoyed by the proposition of playing the league's worst rush defense.

The Giants are at the bottom in DVOA, yards per game (157.2), and yards per attempt (5.9), the last of which isn't particularly close with the second-last Buffalo Bills coughing up 5.3."

    Giants vs. Patriots weather

It's going to be a cold winter's night in Foxborough, with the temperature at 27 degrees at kickoff. While freezing, wind shouldn't be an issue, with gusts reaching just 4 mph. The conditions will be dry, with no snow in the forecast until Tuesday.

SBR's Esten McLaren shares his MNF anytime touchdown scorer predictions:

Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, Patriots (+220 via FanDuel)

"Rhamondre Stevenson returned from a three-game injury absence to what was clearly a backseat to rookie TreVeyon Henderson in the Patriots backfield. After leading Pats running backs in snap share in seven of the first eight weeks, Stevenson played just 22 snaps to Henderson's 46 last week.

Yet, he still carried the ball 18 times (for 66 yards) and caught three of four targets for an extra 15 yards. Having shaken off the rust, I see Stevenson playing an even bigger role, especially if the betting line holds true and New England blows this open as the heavy favorite.

Even in a backup role, Stevenson should see the bulk of the playing time in the second half as the Patriots have the luxury of preserving some of their top assets for the postseason."

Wan'Dale Robinson, WR, Giants (+220 via FanDuel)

"Wan'Dale Robinson had a massive game last week with Jameis Winston starting at quarterback for the Giants. The fourth-year pro caught nine of his 14 targets for 156 yards and his third touchdown of the season. All were season highs.

Rookie QB Jaxson Dart returns to the lineup tonight. Though he's unlikely to follow Winston's signature style of play that led to several of Robinson's big plays, he is the better quarterback, and could also look for those big plays if this game gets out of hand in the second half."

Drake Maye, QB, Patriots (+250 via FanDuel)

"Drake Maye is very much alive in the NFL MVP odds race after Matthew Stafford's stinker (two interceptions in a loss to the Carolina Panthers) yesterday. It's very fortunate for Maye that subpar effort from Stafford came right before his prime-time appearance, and he could take over as the MVP betting favorite with a big performance tonight at home with MVP chants likely to rain down.

Maye has two rushing touchdowns this season while accumulating 307 yards on 75 rushing attempts. The Giants have given up four rushing touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks, and could help turn the MVP race in Maye's favor."

Giants vs. Patriots anytime touchdown scorer parlay

    Total odds: +3626

"I'm going to FanDuel for my anytime touchdown scorer parlay tonight. A winning $10 bet pays a $362.63 profit if all three of Stevenson, Robinson, and Maye get into the end zone."
