This feels like the Bucs/Chiefs SB all over again.

People who think Chiefs will win because Mahomes is Mahomes and its a lock etc etc blah blah are flat out wrong.
Purdy is GOAT type material and has all the intangibles. Throw the Niners defense in there and SF comes out on top.
The NFL knows that the Niners were absolutely raped the last time by the officials and may try to make up for it.
Its the Niners year.
Don't bet the Chiefs. This is your final warning.

I see a TON of people on here keep bringing up the niners bad performance against the ravens on Christmas night(flukey game, -5 turnover ratio, 3 tipped ints). They love to mention the ravens beat the niners and chiefs beat the ravens, acting like it’s some big flex. They also fail to mention a few other mutual opponents lions, packers and eagles. All of which beat the chiefs and lost to the niners. Very convenient. The Christmas Day football slate had another besides that niner raven game, and it was the raiders vs the chiefs. The raiders won despite their qb only completing 9 passes for 62 yards lol. Zamir white rushed for 145 yards on this kc defense!!! I wonder what nfls leading rusher Christian mccaffrey will do against them. The niners also have a qb capable of throwing well over 62 yards. Pathetic loss for the chiefs, but it never gets mentioned on this board. Seen the niners ravens game mentioned hundreds of times tho oddly. People are just seeing what they want to see, or they aren’t paying close attention.

I think the boys in Vegas feel charitable and are giving us a gift here. Kc playing the best ball of the season. I get much better offense and yes a better defense too at plus money. Haha. as of right now 70% of people are taking cheifs point spread and 80% on cheifs moneyline. so if the cheifs win then the sportsbooks will lose alot of money. i read 16 billion was wagered on last years superbowl. probably more this year. not all of that is bet on spreads and moneylines but most of it ! i actually love the cheifs myself. lamar jackson got sacked 4 times so how many times can brock purdy get sacked. taking the cheifs looks like the smart choice !

Analysis:
You would have to think the 49ers really want to stump KC and the Mahomes era. Suoer Bowl LIV (54) 2020 KC won 31-20. I think 49ers have revenge on their mind. At that time, T. HILL killed 49ers Defense wirh his speed. This year KC offense is very limited and no T. Hill to save them for going down field. These two teams both have change player makers over time. I believe this year 49er's offense are built to win the Super Bowl. They got more offensive fire power and their Defense will only get better if they bench Chase Young. 49er's have D. Samuel and C. MCCAFFREY. KC no longer have T. Hill for deep threats. If the 49er's Defensive Coach can double team Kelce and Rice, it will be a long day for Mahomes in the back field. KC injury report Joe Thuney G and Kadarius Toney WR are questionable the Super Bowl. Protection and Offense will Drop for KC if they are out. As for the beginning of the game, B. Purdy will be nervous the 1st and 2nd but I think he will calm down and take down KC and Patrick Mahomes, Taylor Swift and Kelce Dram show down. My picks:

Alright, figured I may as well get this thread started. As always, comments, questions (preferably football-related), and discussions are welcome.

First, as I mentioned in another thread, the morning of the conference championship games I bet SF -2.5 over KC. The thought was KC was gonna win (duh) and SF would blow out Detroit (Whoops. Didn't happen until the 2nd half.) and the line would get bet up to 3, making Smitty super smart. Oh well.

A few things to get the ball rolling...

I still like SF in this game. Well, to be more specific, I'm still not a believer in KC. And, yes, I bet them at Buffalo and Baltimore. Both bets were against those teams, not ON KC. Let's look at KC's playoff path. First, they played a team from Miami in, what?, -40° temps. And Miami was missing roughly half their starting defense. The Dolphins were beat before they even stepped off the plane. Then they played two teams that have almost zero threat of the forward pass. Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are two very solid running backs who should be running the Winged T. Oh, and Buffalo was also missing roughly half of their starting defense.

SF averaged 28.9 pts/game, 3rd in the league. During the regular season, KC only played 5 games against teams in the top 12 in scoring offense. They went 1-4 in those games, with the one win over Miami in Germany.

KC's good defensive #s were mostly put up against mediocre offenses.

SF obviously has a very prolific offense. The weak link, and the great unknown going into this game... Brock Purdy. There have certainly been some signs to indicate this game may be too big for him. He was terrible against Baltimore, and less-than-stellar in the playoffs. They do have the run game to take pressure off him, and KC is vulnerable against the run. That said, you never know if Shanahan will learn from John Harbaugh's mistake and run, run, run against KC.

Shanahan is another glaring weakness for SF. He has proven 3 times now I think that he doesn't understand he needs to USE that excellent ground game with a lead in the 4th quarter. You can make an argument for balance earlier in the game. They have a ton of weapons and you want to make sure they stay involved in the game. But you have a strength that lines up with the opponent's weakness, AND that reduces the load on your own weakness.
