Thank you John Fox for being an idiot
Can someone please explain why NFL teams have become OBSESSED with the fade pass? It's a 20-percent success rate play, and if the pass is off, you give the defense a 50-50 shot at the interception. At the end of games, it is a terrible play call.

Carolina had two timeouts and 35 seconds and could have run anything else and likely scored a TD from the 7-yard-line.

John Fox is a moron, and so is his coordinator Dan Henning for running that play. Yet the announcers never questioned the call and how risky the play is.

Also, Fox has no class. 20 seconds left and he uses both his timeouts to force Philly to run 3 snaps to end the game. The man is desperate. Hey John, they didn't fumble. You surprised?

No doubt this sucked. 4 weeks left? I suck at picking the pro's.

Not really. You should have won that game. These bad luck games run in cycles. I've won 3 miracle games in the last week (Philly, Buffalo and Houston) that I had no business winning. It'll go the other way.

I wonder just how low the success rate is after the same exact play was somehow executed successfully earlier in the game. Probably about 2%. I don't mind the dynamics of the play that was called by Fox (who is a tier-2 coach at best). What is more disconcerting is that Jake should be able to diagnose the clinch on Johnson and throw to the front pylon for a TD that Keyshawn makes in his sleep.

A Jake by any other name
          Would smell exactly the same.

I played the over so it didn't matter but I guess Fox didn't want his incompetence to be trumped by Andy Reid's poor decision to waste a down by pulling Garcia and putting Westbrook behind center ...

Some QB's, like Carson Palmer, can make the fade work. Drop it right in the corner of the end zone to a tall receiver like Chris Henry and it's a TD at best and uncatchable at worst...wouldn't dare underthrow it. But you're right, calling fades is asking for trouble with an inferior qb like Delhomme.

Loved the MeShawn show too! It will be added to the fond MNF memory of his "miked up" trashing of Marvin Harrison before Indy came back at Tampa...

Reid also played for the FG with 3:30 left, when calling a run on 3rd and 5 from the 7-yard-line instead of letting Garcia make a play. He should have known his defense was exhausted and wouldn't be able to stop Carolina. You have to go for the touchdown on 3rd down in that spot.

                  Only Carolina's incompetence saved him.

Keyshawn is a fool, and he's killed the Panthers this season. Remember he dropped an easy TD pass against Dallas in the 3rd quarter up 14-10. If he makes that catch, Dallas might not have won that game.

Idiot Fox cost me around 1 grand...if Caro wins by 4 at the end there that is how much I would have won on my middle. Since Caro lost the game I didn't win hardly squat(at least I didn't lose anything otherwise I may have gone off my rocker). And I will blame Keyshawn more than Delhomme on the last play. He threw it pretty close to the spot where it should have been thrown, Keyshawn didn't get his sorry ass over there. Although Delhomme gets no free pass on his earlier turnover in the 4th quarter, that int was pure bonehead. The Caro defense sorta melted down too...even with these bonehead mistakes on offense Caro scored more points than I thought they would. I just didn't think they'd let Jeff Garcia dominate them for 3 tds, no turnovers. Did they even sack him once? I couldn't remember any. Pathetic!

Fox killed me earlier this year too. Played them against Minnesota and their defense was just dominating the game, Vikes could do nothing. So what does this genius call late in the 4th quarter while winning? He takes a punt after another stuff by his defense and calls a trick play, they end up throwing the ball around (lateral is the official term) on the punt return team and end up turning it over down in their own territory. I couldn't believe it, one of the most boneheaded calls I've seen in a while, just completely unnecessary.

I used to think this guy was solid, this year he's been almost as bad as Gruden.

I also had Carolina in that game. Couldn't believe my eyes when he ran that play on the punt. He had a 7-point lead with 10 minutes left and they'd have gotten the ball near midfield where a FG would ice the game.

Overall, I'm really starting to dislike him. He seems like an arrogant prick. Calling timeouts with 20 seconds left and forcing Philly to snap the ball 3 times was bushleague. No coach does that anymore since the NFL allowed the knee down by the quarterback.

Garcia's mobility was a key to that game. He escaped about 3 or 4 sure sucks by running around. I don't think Eli Manning will be able to do that on Sunday, so despite really disliking this Carolina team and John Fox, I think they beat the Giants on Sunday.

Yeah I am a Buc fan (I know, we suck this year) but playing Carolina twice a year I had a healthy respect for Fox, I really thought he was a good coach until this year. Boy was I surprised by some of the things I have seen from this Bozo this season.

Isn't Carolina kinda like Jacksonville in that they seem to play well at home and suck on the road? Last year Carolina was money but this year they have beenreally bad ATS. That last Monday night game cost me $350. It's hard for me to bet this game because Carolina has really let me down this year. If I was forced to bet though I would have to take them though.
