I agree that Brooks is one of the worst QBs in league history that has started as many games as he has. If Haslett had dropped him years ago he might still be the coach in NO.
The Saints are a perfect example of what an average team can do with an above-average quarterback.
If Brooks was QB on that team, even with Payton, Bush, and the new faces, they'd be 3-6 at best.

OK, Brooks is bad, but last time I checked the Raiders were starting Andrew "Gus Has My Back" Walter who in 8 games has managed to throw 3 interceptions for every TD pass he completes. If you also take into account that his completion % is higher to DBs than teammates (48%) then you might be led to believe that Aaron Brooks is actually a better option. A veteran QB who over the course of 6 years has amassed a completion percentage of 56% with 120 TDs and 84 INTs probably makes this a smart move for Oakland.
