I just don’t see them hanging with the eagles this week mcnabb the mvp right now and that defense makes play other then that Monday night game where am convinced the saints would of beat any team that stepped on the field that night they really haven’t impressed me.

#2It's really hard to tell just how good this team really is this year. Last year was really not a good gauge to judge this team by at all. I think they could be about a .500 type team at best when it's all said and done though.Comment -

#3I've seen a lot of their games thus far and they are getting EVERY possible call to go their way. It's reaching the point of ridiculous as far as I'm concerned.Comment -

#4No, they're not for real. They're a great story but the fairy tale won't come true this year.
They are a team that is moving in the right direction, though. I think before the season started, if you told them they would go 8-8, they'd have been very happy with that result. I still think that's where they'll end up, but I love the solidity that Brees brings to their offense and Bush really is going to be a star if he can stay healthy.
If they are 5-1 after this weekend, you can call me an idiot and I will retract everything I just said.Comment -

#5If you look at the rest of their schedule...it's brutal!
They have one light opponent when they host an improving San Francisco team. The easiest game they have other than that is when they travel to Tampa to face the Bucs again.Comment -

#6I think they are real enough to beat the Eagles. That's all that matters this week. I think the two match up quite well and will keep this game close.Comment -

#8Everybody can beat everbody these days. Chicago and San Diego are the early standouts, but beyond that it's all very average. So of course the Saints can beat Philly. A pointed ball bounces in strange ways. Eagles basically tied Dallas at home; final score was much closer to 31-31 than 38-24. Not a convincing victory, in other words. New Orleans did produce a convincing win at home against Atlanta. Why couldn't they repeat that type of performance here?Comment -

#9No.
The saints will be for real soon if they build their defense over the next few drafts. "for real" in my opinion is a team that I feel has a legitimate chance of making it to the superbowl.Comment -

#14for real? i dont know
can they beat or at least cover against philly, yes.
isetcap nailed this one their schedule is the key. its way to hard for a so called "rebuilding" team.
i would stay away from the saints this week and probly the rest of the year.
not a good team to bet on, what you see is not always what you get in N.O. (that goes for Mardi Grass too)Comment -

#15No. I think the emotion engine will run out of gas soon.
They have talent, but I just dont see them doing anything this year. Maybe in a few years they can get it all together.Comment -

#16I believe they will win again this week and that will make for one of the worst 5-1 tams in some years. They are worse than their record implies but the thing is they don't get the respect of a 4-1 team fromt he oddsmaker either. Philly is a bit overvalued as well. Mcnabb better lead for the TDs early, otherwise I am afraid NO will be scoring after holding on the ball for 10 mins a drive. It could go either way of course but the thing is McNabb-led good pass attack versus bad pass D is obviously 'in the line'. Good rushing game from Saints versus no proof yet that Philly can stop the run doesn't seem to completely be in the line. If I had no bet I would root for Philly to win (both one of my favourite teams and more importantly I have them over in season wins and I have the saints under) but I will have to bet on the Saints. The funny part is I got Philly for the contest because I thought the line will close 3.5.Comment -

#17bad pass defense????
they are ranked ninth in the league against the pass! as far as weapons, the saints are way more loaded than the eagles..mcnabb and an injured westbrook......brees, bush, mcalister, horn and colston...plus, peytons offense is parcels offense, which actually, with a decent qb would have ripped a new a$$hole in phillys defense last week...bledsoe to brees, home to away..big division victory to a non-divisional foe....no kearse, mcnabb better score a lot, because the saints offense will create some very big plays..jim johnsons aggresive continually blitzing defense rattled bledsoe: it wont rattle brees... blitz is automatic one-on-one with bush! oops!!!!!! i like the over!!!!!this philly team that everyone is praising is the exact same 6-10 team of last year, without t.o.......now they are all of a sudden "exceptional" i dont buy it...they beat frisco, dallas, green bay and o my, houston.....whew, what dominating performances....!!!!! i dont think the saints are quite as good as their 4-1 record, but philly has proven nothing!!!Comment -

#18Well I'll say this; if the Saints win today, they will have earned my respect and at the same time confirm analyst’s suspicions that the Eagles record is a direct result of their schedule.Comment -

#22They could have easily folded after blowing a 17-3 lead and falling behind 24-17 after the interception. Great win, and it felt SO good to beat the Eagles. That team usually screws me when I go with them or against them.Comment -
