Leinart is expected to start this Sunday in place of the turnover prone Warner.

    Wise choice for Greene.

You have to set the tone early on this team, if you ever wanna be successful as a coach in Az.

No way the cards should lose that game last week. Warner defines the term washed up. THey should have started the season with lienhart. Oh well, better late than never.

I agree Warner has major problems, but they are throwing the towel in here with Leinart. What is this guy going to do with the limited playing time her had after holding out?

Another 4-12 season for Arizona. If they wanted him to start so badly, just give him the money, get him in camp and commit to him in June instead of this contract nonsense and starting Warner. Dennis Green is clueless and so is Arizona.

I am sure Dennis Greene was thinking about this move prior to the Rams game so why not give the Leinart a chance at home? Instead he decides to throw this kid in on the road against an Atlanta team that is coming off an embarrassing Monday night loss. I would have either started him against the Rams at home or wait one more week when K.C. comes to Arizona. I don't think this is a great spot for Leinart to get his first start.

I guess Denny had a change of heart.
Unless Warner's wife threatened to shoot someone's ass if her husband didnt start.

                  Yep.

                  From Fanball:
09/26 15:15 Cardinals: Warner remains the starter
                  The News
Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner will remain the team's starter for at least another week, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Previous reports from multiple sources had stated that the job would be given to rookie Matt Leinart.

                  Our View
Much like a woman, it is Denny Green's prerogative to change his mind. It appears he did so after reconsidering if he should throw a rookie out for his debut on the road against the Falcons. Fantasy owners should note that Warner has thrown more touchdown passes against the Falcons than any team in the NFL.

Is there a worse coach than Greene? This wishy washy change of heart stuff shows weakness. Make a decision and stand by it with confidence regardless of the outcome, flip flopping makes it look to your players that you don't know what your doing. How can your players have confidence in your calls if you don't.

Greene needs to grow a set, and stick to this change! I know it's early in the season and your trying to get off to that great start and all, but he needs to make a stand.

Warner hasn't change a bit in AZ. He still has the same problems like he had with the Rams and Giants. He always tries to blame other people for what happen.

Either decision the team makes will still get them an early first round draft pick next year.

Warner got hit extremely hard twice in a row, and appeared groggy afterwards. O-line needs to do a better job protecting him. Clearly, Warner wasn't himself. If anything, Leinart should have been in there for the final snaps. So instead of being so angry Green should take responsibility.

The amazing thing about Warner's fumble was he took two steps back before he realized he didn't have the ball. Most QBs dive into the pile after a fumble, he was in the backfield. Something's not right with this guy. His earlier end zone pickoff, he threw right into the linebacker for the pick with the ref the closest other person. There wasn't a dark jersey in sight.

I agree the flip flop here by Greene is terrible!!! What is he thinking. Now he has got to worry about team morale to boot! If they don't win this week, he is in a sh*t storm for sure. Wow, interesting back pedal. Guess he second guessed his decision.

Apparently Green had never made the change. ESPN was quoting "team sources", and proved once again that journalism is nonexistent nowadays. In the rush to be first, nobody verifies information. This is part of the reason so many urban legends and hoaxes can be perpetrated. Well, enough ranting:

I like keeping Warner in. Doesn't seem like a good spot to drop a rookie QB in. Away game, against a possibly pissed off Atlanta team. I think if Leinart is brought in, it should be at home.

Green must be desperate to think that Leinart is any better than Kurt Warner at this stage of his career. Leinart still too inexperienced!

I'd give Leinart time to learn the system, get some snaps on the practice squad, and become acclimated to the speed of the NFL game.

Leinart will be in around week 9 or 10. Warner is way past his prime, Leinart is a polished 5 year college QB, a year or 2 from his prime.
