    Most EXCITING Defense
I'd normally post this in the Football forum but I know nobody goes in there because it's so junked up by the touts now...

Which NFL team has a defense that is so exciting it makes you want to see their games even if they're not a team you support?

in the limited ammount of NFL I've watched thus far this season, I'd have to say Chicago...

The Bears look very dominating this year. Although, i'm curious to see how they will do against some of the better teams later on in the schedule. I'm not sure all the Urlocker "roming free" on the field will keep up the whole season.

My vote goes to Baltimore. They have so much defensive talent that it's a crime to miss an opportunity to see them play.

Sean Taylor for Washington is worth the price of admission.

The Bears probably have the best defense but I don't think they are necessarily the most exciting. I may be missing something, though.

haven't got to watch Baltimore play yet this year, but Ray Lewis himself is very exciting for sure...

I don't think we can really get a fair assessment on Baltimore from last weeks game. The Raiders offense looked really bad, and Brooks got injured in that game, and Walther is a rookie.

Baltimore's been doing it for half a decade now. I'm not basing my opinion on one week against the Raiders!

This isn't even close - the Jags with their edge rushers, monster DTs, speedy LBs and THE best secondary in the NFL.
They are a blast to watch - even more fun than the Bears.

Great post. They get the test this weekend. I'll be cheering for them.

                        WASHINGTON - what????

Where's DALLAS??? They just lit Washington up. OK I'm a Dallas fan but still. Dallas should be on the list.

I couldn't agree more. They also got my vote because they have earned me a shitload of fantasy points.

Dallas has a couple defensive players that get me amped up. One is Mr. Williams, but he gets trumped by Sean Taylor. The other is Demarcus Ware, who is just incredibly ferocious.

San Diego could have an argument to be on this list, also. Any team with a Shawne Merriman (from Maryland) can spark some fireworks.

I've only watched Baltimore and Jacksonville's defense this year, so can't cast a vote until I see the other 4. But out of those two, I like Jax even though Baltimore has more stars on their defense.

I think San Diego with Merriman should be on the list instead of Pittsburgh as well.

For some reason, I never miss Jags games. 3 years in a row now they are at worst 'must tivo' games.
They are a real fun unit with a lot of energy...
I can't compare them to anyone, because they just make big plays and hit real hard. They sort of remind me of the 13-3 2001 Bears Defense - you know, the one that kept the team in the game and then Mike Brown scores a touchdown late off a pick to win the game.

Plus Freddy T when he goes off is pretty damn exciting. I fear his days are about up, though. Also, Jimmy Smith was one of the best I've ever seen, it's a shame he hung them up.

Yes, but Pittsburgh has Joey P. (who might say anything at any point in time) and Polamalu. Additionally, you never know when somebody else on their defense is just going to take an intentional dive into the knees of a star quarterback.

I would have to between Jacksonville, Baltimore and Chicago for me. But I still have to see them play a few more weeks.

The Bears havent really played any one tough yet. Jacksonville shut down a broke down Pittsburgh team. Baltimore beat up the Raiders, thats not saying much.

So I have to see these teams a few more weeks.

I picked Baltimore, simply because they seem to run back a turnover for a TD every other game. Plus, they seem to have more freaks on D than any other team.

One not listed is Minnesota. They've got a decent D, and it's amazing to see what they can do. Minnesota is an up and coming defense that might make this list by the end of the season. San Diego & Dallas as well, but I haven't seen as much of them so far.
