Jets acquire Barlow from 49ers

The Jets traded an undisclosed 2007 draft pick to the 49ers for Kevin Barlow.

That's why they did the original deal with Cleveland for Suggs. The earliest you'll see Martin this year is halfway through the season.

This is a good acquisition by the Jets and I think it's somewhat safe to say that they'll get at least one win this year. The only way I can see them getting two wins is if one of the teams on their schedule decides to disband prior to playing them.

My take is this: Barlow is added only for depth. I'm willing to say that Blaylock and Houston are still the front runners for the starting tailback position. I think, if Barlow doesn't work hard here, he might be out of football next year. The Jets are gonna struggle this year, no question about it.
