the longhorns lose another player, this time to transfer.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -Texas sophomore forward Mike Williams has decided to transfer, leaving the Longhorns without five of their top seven players from last season.
One of the two holdovers, sophomore guard Daniel Gibson, is still considering a jump to the NBA, where he would join former teammates LaMarcus Aldridge and P.J. Tucker in leaving Texas before their eligibility was up. Aldridge was a sophomore and Tucker a junior.
Gibson declared for the draft but hasn't hired an agent, making him eligible to return to the Longhorns.
Williams, the second player off the bench during Texas' run to the Atlanta Regional final, averaged 2.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, similar to his career marks of 2.7 and 3.4 in 58 games.
The school didn't say where Williams was transferring.
``We appreciate the work and effort Mike has put in with our basketball program the last two years, and we wish him the best,'' Texas coach Rick Barnes said in a statement.
Freshman guard A.J. Abrams is the only one of the Longhorns' top seven players certain to return. The other two departing players are seniors - guard Kenton Paulino and forward Brad Buckman.
