I will be perfectly honest. When I saw ReDick cry I started laughing hysterically and I felt really good about the overall alignment of the planets. When I saw Morrison (whom I also despise) cry I almost felt the same way but then I was actually overtaken by sadness as something inside me registered with his despair. I guess it's because Duke had no business being were they were and they were completely dominated whereas Gonzaga really just blew it. It reminded me of a guy who was playing in a championship game last year for one of the very small conferences that only gets one team in the tournament. I can't remember the guy's name or team but he carried them to a huge comeback in the game and stepped up to the free throw line down by one point with no time on the clock. He was a good free throw shooter but he missed the first one and then missed the second one and just crumpled to the ground. I hate seeing people lose like that. Does anyone remember that game?

I do remember the game, but can't for the life of me remember the teams involved.

That was Villanova last year. Wasn't it?

The game was Memphis - Louisville. Went to the free throw line down two after being fouled shooting a three pointer. Made the first and missed the last two. I believe it was Darius Washington, Jr. who shot the free throws, but may be wrong.

Great call, clonecat. I had completely forgotten that it was Conference USA, and the only way Memphis could make the tournament was if he made the free throws. Washington was unbelievable in that game, and fortunately he and Memphis represented well this season.

I'm not a Duke hater and I'm also not a huge Duke fan. Are they overated? Partly. I think K has made some recruiting Boo Boo's. He needs to get more athletic on the wings and will next year with the addition of Gerald Henderson. They also have somewhat of a Redick clone coming in next year in Scheyer. Who is 2 inches taller than Redick and is a flat out shooter. Scored over 3,000 points in Illinois Basketball

Not to turn this into race, but it seems K goes after the white kid a little more because there is a better chance of him staying 4 years. Redick is actually the perfect recruit. High level contribuor for 4 years. Usually, when someone is that prolific, they are gone fast because of their "potential". But Redick really doesn't have that.

McRoberts does. We'll see how his year unfolds and if he comes back next year. He has that magic word the NBA loves in "potential".

Duke is in the mix every year, but what has killed them now 2 years in a row is when they play aathletic teams with wing players and length. LSU this year ansd Michigan State last year. Also, no matter how good their recruiting, K only goes 7 deep on the bench when he could go more. Which leads these players worn down. Redick as played 40 minutes numerous times this season. Is it a coincidence some of their worst games came at the end of the season?

I think Duke always has a good program.

The problem is you hear about how good the program is way to often. After the media overhypes Duke all year you actually want to see them crumble.

I think the idiots at espn and cbs have alot to do with this. All year long it's Redick this and Morrison that.

There are tons of other kids out there that deserve a little recognition, but all we hear about is those two assclown crybabbies.

Let's see, they've been to the NCAA Tournament 22 times in the last 23 seasons, won three titles, been runner-up four more times, made the Sweet 16 in 16 of the tournaments, Elite 8 on 11 occasions and they're overrated?!

Can't help but be reminded of the old quote, "Rooting for the Yankees is like rooting for US Steel." Nobody likes a winner. Hate them if you want, call their players names and lousy NBA prospects, deride their coach if you will. But claiming they're overrated is pure equine excrement.
