    **Oregon State versus Arizona State**

    –Las Vegas Sports Consultants installed Arizona State as a two-point Staples Center ‘chalk,’ with the total listed at 131. This first-round Pac-10 contest is scheduled to tipoff at 9:00 p.m. ET.



    –Oregon State (12-17 straight up, 12-13 against the spread) was mired in a three-game SU losing skid before beating rival Oregon in the regular-season finale as a 3 1/2-point home underdog, 65-62. That marked the second straight contest that the Beavers covered.

    –Sasa Cuic led all scorers with 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting, while Chris Stephens contributed 13 and four rebounds. Oregon State led at halftime, 37-30, and finished the game shooting 42 percent (22-of-52) from the field.

    –The Beavers maintain a 4-11 SU and 7-7 ATS road record, dropping those affairs by an average score of 73-65.

    –Oregon State is 0-3 SU and 1-2 ATS the previous three encounters with Arizona State after being swept this season. The Sun Devils triumphed in overtime as a five-point road underdog, 65-63, and as a five-point home ‘chalk,’ 76-59.

    –Arizona State (11-16 SU, 11-13 ATS) had dropped two games in a row both SU and ATS before beating Washington State in the regular-season finale as a 1 1/2-point home favorite, 68-55.

    –The Sun Devils triumphed behind a rebounding advantage, 35-27, while shooting 44 percent (24-of-54) from the field. Kevin Kruger paced the offense with 20 points and six rebounds, while Jeff Pendergraph added 13 and Serge Angounou contributed 16 rebounds.

    –Oregon State guard Lamar Hurd (groin) is ‘doubtful’ versus the Sun Devils, while forward Nick DeWitz (shoulder) is ‘out’ for the rest of the season.

    **Washington State at Oregon**

    –LVSC lists Oregon as a 3 1/2-point favorite over Washington State, with the total set at 114. This matchup is slated to start at 11:30 p.m. ET.

    –Washington State (11-16 SU, 13-13 ATS) dropped to 0-6 SU and 1-4-1 ATS its last six games after Saturday’s setback to Arizona State as a 1 1/2-point road underdog, 68-55.

    –Caleb Forrest was the only Cougars player to reach double digits in scoring with 11 points, while Aron Baynes grabbed 10 rebounds in the setback.

    –Wazzu is 2-10 SU and 5-7 ATS away from home, dropping those affairs by an average score of 66-59.

    –Oregon is 6-0 SU and 1-5 ATS the previous six encounters with the Cougars after winning this season as a 5 1/2-point road underdog, 52-50, and as a 4 1/2-point home ‘chalk,’ 67-37.

    –Oregon (13-17 SU, 12-15 ATS) finished the regular campaign by dropping its last two games SU and ATS. The Ducks are off Saturday’s loss to state-rival Oregon State as a 3 1/2-point road favorite, 65-62.

    –Chamberlain Oguchi stepped up with 20 points on 6-of-14 shooting, while Malik Hairston pitched in with 11 and seven rebounds.

    –The Ducks sport a 3-9 SU and 6-6 ATS road record, dropping those matchups by an average score of 71-67.

    –Oregon guard Bryce Taylor (knee) is ‘questionable’ against the Cougars.
