    Louisville/UNC NCAA PICK
Two of the hottest teams in the country lock up tonight in Charlotte. Both the Louisville Cardinals and the North Carolina Tar Heels annihilated their opponents in the sweet 16 creating a matchup that should draw interest from fans all over the country.

UNC is currently a six point favorite which isn’t all that surprising, but what is a bit odd, in my opinion, is the fact that the public is all over the favorites here. Louisville comes out of the nation’s best conference, they played the sixth toughest schedule, they have one of the best tournament coaches college basketball has seen, and they still don’t seem to be getting a lot of respect from the public.

Not much needs to be said about UNC. They have cruised through the SEC tournament runner up and a Washington State team that was in the top 25 all season. I can’t imagine a team having any more confidence that UNC does right now, but it wasn’t long ago that the Tar Heels used a buzzer beater to get past Virginia Tech and then were challenged by the Clemson Tigers. North Carolina is a great team, but it seems that bookmakers may be over compensating a bit for public perception.

Discounting their first round game, UNC has won by an average of 26 pionts and shown that they can win a track meet or a game played in the 60s. Neither of the Tar Heels opponents have been within six points in a single half, much less for the game. Rick Pitino's bunch has been just as impressive. Louisville has run with the Vols and walked with the Sooner while holding each under 34% from the field.

The best line I see on the game, for taking the dog, is laying the six at -104 and that’s what I’ll do today. The Cardinals have size, speed, and they’ve shot the ball well through the opening rounds of the tournament. I wouldn’t be surprised if they played well enough to advance to the Final Four, I would be surprised if they got blown out.
