Four games going on right now, and I'm stuck watching the most uninteresting one. Come on now, give me some choices here, split-screen or something!

#8I tried the cbs free stream to you pc screen last year. Or I should say, I tried to try it, There's a LONG waiting list.]
Like, forever,. Next year sign up for it when the first of the conference tourneys begin. That way when the ncaas roll around you might be near the top of the list.Comment -

#11What pisses me off more than anything is the one zillion commercials after EVERY clock stoppage in the final minute. They must have aired 6 commercial breaks in the last 30 seconds of the UConn game Friday and it never stops. Even if it's a 30-second timeout, they air a commercial.
They suck.Comment -

#12Exactly!!!!! It drives me nuts. They do the same fvcking thing when they broadcast the NFL.Originally posted by Seattle SlewWhat pisses me off more than anything is the one zillion commercials after EVERY clock stoppage in the final minute. They suck.
You wanna know the real reason why they breakaway from blowout games. Those teams are less likely to use their timeouts, so they switch to a closer game where they know all timeouts will be consumed.
I also love when they switch to game after you just watched 8 minutes of commercials and the game they switch to goes into timeout like 9 seconds later. Then you are forced to watch another set of commercials.
I am commercialed out CBS!!!!!

#14You've uncovered their scam for sure. When they switch games, they air commercials before the switch every time. Then, if the game in question is near a commercial, you get twice as many.
They just started doing it in the NFL a few years ago. The old ad system was the network programmed a certain amount of ads per game. Once they used them up, they didn't air ads, so you might get no ads in the final 2 minutes.
Someone obviously saw that as a waste, so now they have extra ads ready. If they air, the ad gets billed. If they don't, they get no charge or they air it another time.

#17That website with the games streaming free by CBS is annoying as hell, after every commercial some window randomly pops up and keeps doing it even with my popup blocker on. I had signed up for it a few days before the tournament too.Comment -

#18You can get Directv and order Mega March Madness.
The commercials are overkill.
I did post about the VIP sign ups on CBS Sportsline. I think it was the end of December when they put the reminder out.

#20Yeah I got 3 CBS channels and most of the time they have been all playing the same games....Interest here is in Big East (Pitt/ Mountaineers) Why cant they work something out here to show other games especially when the same area gets 3 channels...Oh wellComment -

#21It is because they want you to buy the Mega March Madness package. If any other network had the rights, they would do the same thing. It is all about the money these days.Comment -

#25Guess I've been lucky to see all the games I've wanted too. The only time I was bothered was when they were showing Texas/Miami instead of Davidson/G'Town..
That sucked.. But I kinda like the way it is, guess I've gotten used to it.Comment -

#27CBS has mastered the art of the "live look in." What they do is they take you away from your game as soon as it comes back from the 3 minute commercial break on and then they move you to a "random" game but of course the game they send you to is the one closest to going to an official timeout. This way they do a double wammy for advertisements. You can go like a 10 minute stretch and watch commercials for about 8 minutes during CBS coverage while there may be 4 games going on at once....
The CBS coverage is horrible IMO....Comment -

#31Only good thing about CBS= Gus Johnson...I know I rambled negatively about him in the past (so dont go searching for the post, I admit it) but he can really call a game and his shrieks which used to be annoying to me only add to the excitement level of the game (or add a little humor: see youtube UCLA vs Gonzaga finish) Hope he gets to call a good one here, seems like hes been getting stuck with blowouts so far.....Comment
