theres nothing special about colorado at home...especially in the big 12...i like baylor too...

Going big on Baylor...with their close losses of late, they will push this one hard...and if for some reason Col meets the challange, they always continue to fight till the end hard. This is an important conf game...4 teams at 6-6 in the conf and at 18-8 they can't afford to have this be a loss.

Definately a good call... My favorite play, it popped out quick when I first viewed the card... I going pretty big on them...Im down a bit this week and am going to put an equal amount on another solid pick (to play a safety I guess)... Gotta keep looking for that other though Im liking WVU -4.5 and Miami FL +8.....Anyway GL!!

Illinois St (20-8) Creighton (19-8)
Illinois St at home is one of a hand full of teams that can shut down anyone. They are all about defense...not one team has shot 50% against them all year...road or away not one team. 7 of 15 home games opps have shot under 40%. Opps on the year at Ill St avg 38.5% shooting while offensively Ill St is a very good 49.2% at home.

They are 14-1 at home with the only loss to Drake by 3. They can score at home, avg 70 pts and give up 56 per home game. Creighton is 5-6 on the road ..have lost 4 of their last 5 road games and 2 in February to Evansville and to Bradley by 28 pts. The only flaw I see is FT shooting...Ill St only 63.8%...scary bad....but they play such great defense games here that their games have not been decided by 1 or 2 pts...at home they have one 3 pt win..one 4 pt and one 5 pt win...all the rest are higher...so with the line at -3.5...I will pay on the juice and buy to get -2 on 67% of the play and stay at -3.5 for 33% of the play...

I actually like FSU tomorrow to come get a nice road win over NC State might look into that a bit more

La Salle is a money train...7-0 ATS as an underdog with big wins over Dayton and Duquesne in their last 2 games. Shot at least 40% in their last 11 games including 7 above 45%. Fordham has shot below 40% in 6 of last 11 games and just twice above 45%.

something to add about Colorado...no FT's attempted last game....

For the record, two veteran officials, Ted Hillary and Bill Kennedy worked the Colorado game at Missouri Feb. 23 with James Breeding.

That seems worth pointing out, considering the crew never blew a whistle that sent the Buffaloes to the foul line.

That's right, no free-throw attempts for Colorado (Missouri shot only nine charities and made four) as it fell 60-53. The loss was its ninth in 10 games and helped solidify a spot in the Big 12 cellar as the Buffaloes dipped to 10-16 overall and 2-10 in the conference.

"We had 34 paint points," said Colorado coach Jeff Bzdelik when asked if his team deserved to go to the line. "It wasn't like we weren't going to the rim. There is nothing I can say that will be right. I'll just leave it at that."

Not a bad move for the first-year coach to take the high road and be politically correct.

But it has to be tough biting your tongue when the Colorado program is obviously making strides but not producing results.

A lack of manpower is the Buffaloes' biggest weakness, yet Bzdelik saw fit to compound the problem by dismissing sophomore guard Xavier Silas from the team. The two had difficulty working out matters throughout the season, and Bzdelik benched Silas for one game earlier in the season.

Silas, who was not in any trouble academically or legally, became the fifth player to leave the Colorado program since Bzdelik was hired.

While that should stir some concern, coaching transitions often create such turbulence and attrition. Bzdelik is attempting to establish some discipline and order the Buffaloes lacked under Ricardo Patton. The results are evident in the team concepts Colorado exudes on the floor. This is a coach who deserves the chance to put together a team built with players he recruits.

With G Xavier Silas no longer available following his dismissal from the team prior to the Feb. 23 game at Missouri, Colorado is even thinner. The removal of Silas prompted coach Jeff Bzdelik to use F Jeremy Jackson-Wilson and F Marcus King-Stockton simultaneously after they previously had been alternating much of the time in a four-guard lineup.
