    Arkansas at Kentucky 2pm

At first glance, I was all over Arkansas. But looking a little closer made me back off a little bit.

Let's see, that leaves me .

I will put down some stats and you can tell me who the play should be. It appears to be on Kentucky at home, but how in the hell do you take a team that lost by a half a hundred the other week vs. Vandy? Simple, it's CBB!

    Stats

Arkansas is 18-7 SU and (10-11 ATS). They are shooting 46.5% from the wood and 67% from the stripe. Behind the arch, they are 33.8%.

Kentucky was off to a rough start but have settled into their own as of late. They are 14-10 SU and (11-10 ATS). Kent. is shooting 47% from the floor and 75% from the line. 3-pointers are falling at 36.5%.

Arkansas has lost a little punch they had earlier in the season and I believe it began when my Gamecocks went to Little Rock and came outta there with a road dog Win. Ark is 6-4 SU in their L 10 and 5-5 ATS.

On the other sideline, Kentucky is gaining momentum. After beating Vandy in Jan. they lost two straight to Miss St and FL. Then went on a 5 game tear covering all 5 SU and ATS. Then comes the ? vs. Vandy and since then have won 2 more.

Up and down, up and down. Who knows who to play. Arkansas would be the easy answer if Kentucky had not played so well of late. They are 7-3 SU and ATS their L 10.

I gotta say, this game could go either way. I like the over. Ark is 6-1 O/u on the road this year. Arkansas is avg 74 ppg in conference and Kentucky is avg nearly 67.

Kentucky is on a 7-0 run in this rivalry (5-2 ATS), including an 82-74 road win last year catching 2½ points to halt a 2-0 ATS run by Arkansas.

Posted number has Ky -1 and total at 137.

    What do you say guys?

I will write more games as I have time. Please add SEC opinions and writeups as well. Thx. W. Chandler

      Miss St at South Carolina +2.5 O/U 142 4pm

Ok, before I get too far, I am a huge Gamecock fan. Im from South Carolina but I promise to TRY to be unbiased for at least long enough to write this game out on paper.

Miss St is playing pretty well this yr. They are 17-8 SU and an oddsmakers dream (11-11) ATS. How do they do it? Anyway, MS St. won 4 conf games in a row beginning on Jan 9 before losing at Arkansas then at home to Tenn. Then, they beat Bama, Aub, and Ark. Then lose to Ole Miss. They are 8-3 SU in the SEC and 6-5 ATS. State is shooting 46.5% from the floor, a bad 62% from freeland, and 34% from downtown.

South Carolina has been improving but they simply don't have a sole who can bang inside. Downey, who transfered from Cinn has been going off and has recently gotten help from his mates. SC is 45% from the wood, a good team 71% from the stripe and also a very good 39.5% from downtown. Going back to Jan 9, the cocks lost to Vandy and Tenn, then beat Ark, then lost two then won 2, lost 2, won 1, lost one. You get the point.

SC is 4-6 SU L 10 and 5-5 ATS over that same mark. Their last game was at Fl and the comeback fell short and lost by three but it was an impressive cover as 8.5 pt dogs.

I think SC will be pumped up toay in the Colonial Center and will be lights out. You need not make plays off my opinions but I do know the gamecocks will be ready. Miss St's last game was a road loss at rival Ole Miss, where the cocks went in and unpinned the Rebels earlier this month.

Please give opinions. I am liking the home points, but like I said, I'm a fan of faith!

How do you feel about vandy -9? I already played them and think they should roll. I rarely lay big points either.

            #2 Tennessee+6 at #1 Memphis 9pm

I gotta love Tennessee in this spot. Can you imagine how pumped up these 2 teams are. This will be a great game but lets get to the facts.

Tennessee has played a more difficult schedule as of late, facing Auburn, Georgia (twice), Arkansas, LSU, Florida, Mississippi State, Alabama, Kentucky, Ohio State, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Gonzaga and Xavier in its last 15 games, going 14-1 SU and 10-5 ATS.

Memphis has recently faced Sienna, Pepperdine and Gonzaga (non-league); and Conference USA foes East Carolina, Marshall, Rice, Southern Miss, Tulsa, Houston (twice), UTEP, SMU, Central Florida, UAB and Tulane.

This should be enough to convince you that Tenn should be ready to take on a very good memphis team.

Do not forget that these teams are familiar with one another. Throw in the fact that they actually play the same type of game, and I see this game comming down to the wire.

If this game were in Knoxville what would the line be? Not sure, but according to this line, Tenn would be catching one or two at home.

I don't usually like college games as much as I like this one, so I'm gonna take Tennessee and the points.

            GL guys!

I can see Tenn winning outright as they are a little more "batttle tested" but the points are a steal for a team in this spot. They may be on the road, but they are playing a basketball rival a few hundred mile away in their own state. Take the pts!

              found this on another site.

Tennessee has won four straight road games (all SEC), and the Vols are 3-0 as an underdog this year … not just 3-0 ATS, but 3-0 SU! Finally, Tennessee blasted Memphis 76-58 as a one-point HOME underdog last year, and the ‘dog is 7-0 ATS in the last seven meetings in this instate rivalry. Bottom line: I’ll stop short of calling for the outright upset (though it wouldn’t surprise me in the least) and take the generous points with the visiting Vols, who will shut down Memphis’ perimeter game and maul the Tigers in the second half.

                Arkansas Vs Kentucky

                Take Kentucky.

FYI: Arkanasas coach Pelphrey has his number retired at Kentucky. He wants this game bad. I love the hogs but Kentucky will win this game.
