Illinois hasn't won a true road game since November 16, 2007 (at Hawaii, 79-77), and their only wins since the first of the year have been Northwestern and Michigan, at home.

But, then again, I think Minnesota gets too much love. There aren't any great wins on their resume either (at Iowa State, home against Santa Clara, at Penn State, home against Iowa).

Illinois' stats were not bad, and they were not blown out, in their last two games (at home) against very good Purdue and Indiana teams.

I do think there is some value in your bet. If I don't play it, I'll be pulling for you.

I DID play Illinois +5, so I can't really knock you with taking a shot here. That said, I like the points better here due to the Illini's propensity to lose close games.
