Saint Louis is a tough at home and especially against tougher competition. OVerall Saint Louis is 10-2 at home. The two home losses were against Dayton, losing 68-57 in OT, and against Temple, losing 54-53. Saint Louis was tied at the half (30-30) against Dayton and led Temple 20-18 at the half. During the season, St Louis did trail at the half against some lessor competition (trailed at the half against Furman 39-36, Pacific 30-23, NC A&T 26-25). Five points is too many points to lay off in a tough conference game. Saint Louis will be motivated to play the 13th ranked team in the country at home. Saint Louis will get the cover at the half and may even win the game. I also like St Louis on the moneyline at the half (+200).
Western Carolina +6.5 (h)
Georgia Southern is playing a conference game at home against Western Carolina. These two teams played on Jan 28, 2008 and Georgia Southern won 69-58. This eleven point victory was a close game. Georgia Southern scored the final 12 points of the game to win by 11. In the first half, Western Carolina had a 15 point lead and was up 35-31 at the half. I was looking at some half time scores and found out that Western Carolina usually plays very good in the first half. Western Carolina builds leads at the half only to lose games in the 2nd half. Georgia Southern is not a team that will blow out its competition. Western Carolina played Georgia Southern very tough last time and should play them close again.

Appalachian St and Charleston played on Jan 3, 2008 and Appalachian St won 70-66. This was close game at the half as Appalacian St held a one point lead, 28-27. Charleston led 46-39 at the 12 minute mark of the 2nd half. Appalachian St is 14-7, 9-3 in conference. Appalachian St is not as good as their record might indicate. Charleston is 10-12, 5-7 in conference play. Charleston has lost 6 games by 7 points or less. I like Charleston to be up by a few points at the half in this weak conference game.
