20-1. 19 straight wins. They aren't going to lose to a less talented team in a less-than-hostile environment. Ill. State students probably have no idea that they have a basketball team.

Illinois State's every bit as good (probably better). There's a reason Drake was picked to finish near the bottom of the league by most. Regardless, this game means nothing to Drake. They have a 2-game lead in the conference even with a loss, and their remaining schedule isn't particularly tough.

ISU by double digits.

I'm with you on Ill. State tonight bud... I took em last night after I saw your post and looked into the game a little more... Drake has been REAL SUSPECT on the road lately... Tonight they go down at the hands of the Redbirds!

Yeah, I completely agree with you. Drake may very well be at the top of the league, but it's not like last year when SIU and Creighton dominated the league. The gap has closed considerably from the top teams to the middle-of-the-pack squads in the Valley. Drake's record's pretty misleading in that they've escaped a number of close calls. You see a team that's 20-1 and has won 19-straight and you think they've been dominant like a Kansas or UNC, but that's far from the case with Drake. They could just as easily be 6-5 in the conference. Honestly, I think ISU and Bradley (with Ruffin) are the top 2 teams in the Valley. ISU is really good, and this is unquestionably Drake's toughest game since playing @ St. Mary's (their only L). Combine that with the fact this game is of little significance to Drake - even a loss leaves them with a comfortable 2-game cushion for the regular season conference title - and I think ISU wins handily tonight.
