southern alabama -3 at north texas

i see a lot of people on s bama. dont no a thing about either team, but after looking into this game i see a few things that worry me.

-north texas is 9-1 at home
-north texas wins by an avg of 12 at home
-north texas out rebounds its oppenents by ten at home and s bama gets out rebounded by an avg of 5

can someone tell me why southern alabama?

Having seen both these teams play I'd say:

1) Guard Play --- Huge edge for South Alabama
2) 3 Point % --- Huge edge for South Alabama
3) Defensive Intensity --- Moderate edge for USA

As for the rebounding stats Hawaii, have you looked at who all UNT has played at home vs. USA on the road? Over half of that edge came from playing Southern, Centenary, and a D2 team out of conference. It's not a particular fair comparison. I'd gladly take USA +5 boards, as I actually think you'll see USA win the battle of the glass as well. GL...
