Narizona -1 = Nariz beat them by 16 in their previous meeting but that was on their home court; still think though they're the better team; their best player Landry isnt a 3 pt shooter and i dont think colorado shoots the three that much; 3 pt shooters have the extra adv at home IMO

(But, rjt, it's a square play that the line is moving against. Already a full point. That doesn't bother me so badly. I personally get more worried when the books are moving the line in a manner that encourages a square play. That suggests to me that the big money is going one way and the mob of bettors is going the other, or it may suggest that the book is willing to bet against the majority of bettors (one or the other might be happening with Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and maybe also with Stanford, today). And, anyway, I'm a pretty simple guy and this is a play I just happen to like. Michigan blows.)Comment -

There are 2 kind of plays Square and Sharp
A square is like me just your average joe and a sharp is like a pro gambler that has some insight or proven track record of making plays. If a sharp make a big play he will move the line by say one. If I make a big play I will move the line maybe a half. Usually the majority of the public are squares.

Essentially, I see a "square" play as one that is attracting the overwhelming majority of bettors -- but perhaps not the most money.
Here's how someone by the name of squeekycleen more eloquently put it on another site though:
Square plays are obvious plays that "can't lose". They are the plays that your butt buddy at the watercooler is touting. They are the plays stupid drunk guys fawn over at the bars. They are the plays you come up with after watching ESPN and GameDay for your inside info. When someone says "Dude, the Lakers are only laying 2 to the Pistons, holy shit dude, they have Kobe, this is a ****ing LOCKKKKKKK", you can rest assured they are a Joe Public square hunting down square plays. Square plays, in the long run, are hazardous to your health. When the majority of action heads to one side (in terms of number of wagers, not total dollar value wagered), you have the makings of a square play. If gambling was so easy that when everybody who picked something won, we would all be millionaires. I try to search out square plays and fade them. This takes some practice, and you have to know how to look for them, but it is not very hard.
I usually spend a little time every day at thespread.com (the betting charts).
Please note though, that it's been a pretty bad hoops season for me, so please take this all with a grain of salt.

This is my first post on this site. I've enjoyed everyone's picks and how they come to their decisions. I have an easy one tonight and I'll tell you why. I'm an ACC fan, went to NC State. I follow ACC closely. BC catchin 18.5 points tonight is incredible. I know UNC has the ability to beat them by 18.5 but the odds are they will not. UNC is struggling as of late and teams are learning how to stay in the game with them. They lack good defense, and love to run and gun. BC will stay within this spread. I hope you all take advantage of it.
