    Any info on Drake's Young?
I don't follow this team but I know he got hurt in the 1/9 game, don't think he's returned yet but is close. Anybody know if he's going to play Tuesday? Just a sprained ankle, surely he's close.

I really haven't heard any updates at all on his status Pat. The last report I found on his was this.

Josh Young G Out indefinitely - Ankle -1/17/08
I'll post an update when I come across one though, because his 16ppg is something I'll need to factor in whether he plays or not.

Yeah he's important to the team, last I looked he was 44-45% from 3 point land, helps open up the middle for them. I will keep checking, if he plays I'm probably going to take them at +6 and up. Anyway thanks Dan, I'll recheck here to see if you find anything, I'll post if I find something as well.

BTW I like Ohio State and Tennessee tomorrow, any thoughts on these two games? Hate playing a conference road chalk but this is not the Kentucky of old. I could probably take 4 guys off the forum and give them a good run for their money.

I like Tennessee as well but KY I know they have sucked this year, but only takes a game to turn it around and at home against a big rival like Tennessee you never know.

I hear you Money, hate to play against home dogs like this but too late now, I've already played it, LOL.

One site I checked showed no significant injuries for Drake. Another one I went to had this listed for Young.

01/19/08 G/Josh Young/Ankle missed last game, "?" Tuesday vs Creighton.

I am digging a little deeper and will try to find out. I was looking hard at Drake, so I need to know his status also.

I went to the Drake website. Young will suit up, but he is not starting. His replacement is a walk on senior who turned down a scholarship to Boston College. His stats are comparable to Young's.

                  Hope that helps

Drake guard Josh Young, the leading scorer in the Missouri Valley Conference with 16.3 points per game, remains day-to-day with an ankle sprain.

The 6-foot-1 sophomore from Oklahoma was with his teammates Monday when they left for Omaha, but he was wearing a protective boot on his lower, right leg.

"I do feel good," he said. "I don't know if that's game-ready good, but it takes a lot to get game ready."

Coach Keno Davis said Young has not practiced with the Bulldogs since injuring his ankle Jan. 9 against Indiana State.

"He has been doing quite an extensive rehab process," Davis said. "He's feeling better and better every day. So we're hopeful that he is ready in the near future."

That article tells me he will not be playing. If someone has to travel with a boot on their leg then there is no way they can be 100% to play.

Thanks for all the input guys. Think I'm just going to lay off. I like this Drake team but on the road without Young might be too tough against a quality team like Creighton. They will probably keep it close but I'm staying on the sidelines, good luck to everyone else.

Yeah I was going to play Drake, but in a rough slump, and better to lay off then chase. Although Drake does look really good, and even without Young I would lean Drake, but then again Creighton is no slouch and they are playing at home.
