Buffalo plays good in the first half of games. Buffalo had a 7 point lead at half time against Kent State last week. Buffalo has covered many games on the road this season and last season. Just check out their stats. Bowling Green lost 65-49 to Kent State while Buffalo played Kent St very tough.

New ORleans also plays good in first half of games and should easily cover this spread at the half.

Kent St is a much better team and I do not know why Miami (Oh) is even favored in this game. Last season Kent St defeated Miami (OH) by 16. Oddsmaker inflated the line a lot. I have Kent st favored by 3. LEts cash in on all 3 picks.

keep in mind i wrote these last night...

Vanderbilt +12.5 (3 units to win 2) vs. Tennessee - I was a bit surprised when I saw what this spread opened at (10.5) as I figured it would be more in the 7-8 range. I bought it up another 2 points just incase but I probably shouldn't have because I thought it was high enough already. I expect this line to go down probably to about 9 before game time, in which case I might actually try to middle it by buying down Tennessee. That has never worked for me keep in mind, so more than likely if I end up doing it then it won't work. On to the game at hand... both teams last played on 1/12 so they've had 4 days of rest to look forward and prepare for their National TV appearance. Vandy last played in Kentucky and lost, their first loss of the season. Tennessee also has 1 loss, to a Texas team on the road. The Vols have a really well balanced offensive attack and a very stingy defense. Their team rebounding however has to become better in order for them to consistently win. The Commodores have an oustanding senior in Shan Foster who is a flashy guard that can drive to the hoop and shoot the long ball. They also have great big men who can grab the boards and block shots. They will need to limit the turnovers and control the tempo to win this outright. The arena will be rocking and hopefully Vandy doesn't go blind by all the bright orange.

Indiana -1.5 (2 units) vs. Minnesota - here comes the trap line, and I bit. How can the #10 team in the country only be favored by 1.5 points? Well its the Big Ten (which means very close, low scoring games) and they are on the road. Not to mention this is a rivalry game. Hoosier freshman guard Eric Gordon is one of the best in the country, probably only 2nd to Michael Beasley (Kansas St). He also has a big man down low to play the 2-man game with in D.J. White, who should get a double-double every night. Minnesota doesn't really have a stand out player, its basically a new high scorer each game. The Golden Gophers are a completely different team at home, playing at a much higher skill level than their opponents. Also, the underdog in this series is 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings. Usually I don't put too much emphasize on trends only because rosters change so frequently. The Hoosiers are 3-0 in Big Ten ball, inching by Iowa and Illinois. Minnesota is 2-1 with their loss a close game vs. Michigan St. This could spell trouble for me but I'm gonna do it anyway. This line might head down a bit to 1.0 by the start so if you want to wait then by all means go for it.
