I go to all the UCSB games and yeah they have a good record but they haven't played anyone. Unlv should win this one pretty easy. I think this line changes by game time! Grab it now!

The thing I don't like with UNLV, is it seems they are going back to settling for three pointers to often, and they aren't hitting at a good percentage.
5 for 22 against Montana State
11 for 34 against Dixie State
6 for 17 against San Diego
6 for 30 against Louisville
7 for 19 against Nevada
That is a .287 percentage.

My book (BetJam) doesn't post lines until the am. If I can get UNLV at around +2 to +3, I will put a play on them. [Update: got this at +3.5.]
UNLV is decent -- with an agressive defense. Kruger is an outstanding coach. The word on UNLV is that they lost alot of talent, and are rebuilding, which is true. But I believe UNLV is going to be stronger this season than a lot of people expect. I see them giving BYU a run, and possibly making some noise in the tournament again.
I don't know as much about UCSB. I see they have the conference's highest scorer, Alex Harris, good for about 21 points a game. I see that they generally shoot the ball well, although not nearly as well against the one good team that they have played (Stanford). I also see that they are pretty good defensively. They did real well in the pre-season polls -- and I think that sometimes has a big effect on the lines early in the season, especially in the lesser conferences.
All told, I think UCSB gets their first home loss tomorrow. I do not see this as a game UNLV will lose.Comment -

Do they still throw stuff on the court? I had UCSB as one of the best Home court advanages around? Is that still true or do they play in a new building?Comment -
They had a great home court advantage back when they had Eric Mcarthur , brian shaw, paul davis etc etc.. back in 1990 when unlv came in and ucsb beat them.. that is when the place was rockin. It is still the same place called the thunderdome.
