    Plays for 11/12
Not a great start to the college basketball season but it was only the 1st week so no worries. Now it is time to start making some serious money. Here are my plays for today...... Best of luck to everyone!

    Florida Atlantic +18

FAU will keep this game surprisingly close as BC is still adjusting to life without Dudley, Williams and Marshall. Watch out for FAU's Carlos Monroe, he is one of the most unheralded big men you'll find. BC wins but only by 11.

    Arkansas LR +1

Yes, Loyola Marymount is that bad. Their top returning scorer from last year only averaged 5.3 PPG. They have a lot of new faces on their roster and will struggle mightily this year. Meanwhile, UALR comes into this game with plenty of momentum and looks to be the better of the 2 teams, regardless if it is on the road or not. Arkansas LR wins this game by 6 points.

    Columbia -3.5

Columbia returns all 5 starters from last years team and although they didn't play particularly well against Fordham, they still are the better team than Delaware St. Delaware St is a 1 man team (Roy Bright) who scored half of his teams points in their last game which was a 1 point win on their homecourt versus a D2 school. I'll take the much more balanced and experienced Columbia team in this one. Columbia wins by 7.

    UCLA -28

Lots of chalk to lay in this one but yes Youngstown St is that bad. Youngstown St lost 2 players last year that combined to score more than half of their teams points. UCLA meanwhile is loaded again this year and will easily dispatch of the mightily overmatched Penguins. UCLA by 40.

    Appalachian St +3

Appalachian St is a program heading upwards while NC Charlotte is heading the opposite direction. Charlotte looked horrible in their 6 point home win against High Point. They lack a proven go to guy and have very little depth. Appalachian St is the much better team and will win this game outright. Appy St wins by 5 points.

GitRDone....I strongly agree with you on the Appalchain St play at +3. Ive been eyeing this since last night.

I will post this on my thread in a bit, and list my reasonings.
Goodluck with this one, and the rest of your games.

No real opinions on most of those bro, but my college hoops theory on big chalk is to take it early in the season with huge mismatches on home floors. I believe UCLA falls into that category tonight. Go get 'em!

TY all, Appy St shot 53% from the field, 64% (9-14) from 3Pt but got homered on the Foul line. Charlotte shot 38 FT's compared to just 20 for Appy St. That was the difference as Appy St outplayed Charlotte but couldn't overcome the officials. Oh well, still went 4-1 on the night. Time to start looking at tomorrow's games!
