              Gimmie Oregon at -2.5 tonight.

I don't think K-State can handle Oregon's up and down style. They will try to slow things down, but Oregon always seems to place at the pace they decide, up-tempo. Beasley will get involved and have a good game, but his supporting cast doesn't match up to that of the Ducks. Oregon lost a tough road game to an up-start St. Mary's squad last week, and will bounce back and give a better effort tonight...they cant afford another loss. Oregon at -2.5

I don't have much of an opinion on the Oregon-KSU game, but I do think the Wildcats can run with the Ducks. I also think the board jinx factor could come into play, EVERYONE it seems is on the Ducks tonight. I might play K-State just to see if the jinx is on. GL to you sir.

Gone for the weekend again boys! Check back, I may post something before I leave, if not I'll be back SUnday.

I've been laboring around 500 the last 15 picks or so.....a break is just what the doctor ordered to turn this mini funk around!

Hey Guys....I'm back after a nice weekend away.
I haven't checked up on the posts, but hopefully some successful weekends were had.

I'm going to take Missouri State at +10 tomorrow.

the Head Coach of Missouri St, Barry Hinson has done a tremendous job turning the Bears into contenders. Missouri State has been at the forefront of the very respectable Missouri Valley conference over the last couple seasons. This team has earned a reputation of playing great basketball away from their home court. Looking back at last year, Missouri St beat Wisconsin on a neutral court, won at UNC Wilmington, South Florida, Bradley, Northern Iowa and Wichita St. That would be an impressive resume for a major conference school. Sure Missouri State lost a few key players from a year ago, but they already earned a victory at Winthrop, after trailing by 22 in the first half.
What really stands out to me here is the fact that Missouri State has been forcing a high number of turnovers up to this point. In 5 games, they have forced no less then 16 in any one game, and as high as 32. Shane and Spencer Laurie, and Chris Cooks are gritty little guys who can apply some serious pressure on the ball. This doesn't bode well for Arkansas at all who is extremely turnover prone. They don't have a true ball handler, and if Missouri St can force a bunch of turnovers and eliminate shot opportunities, they will keep this game in single digits. Missouri St. is very disciplined offensively, and will really work the shotclock and suck the time out of the game.

The only thing that somewhat worries me is Missouri State's lack of size in the posterior. Arkansas has a couple more big men in size, but Arkansas hasn't been dominating the boards when they match up with stiff competition. Sure, they outrebounded Wofford and Charleston big, but it was a different story against the likes of Missouri, Providence and even Oral Roberts. Even with Missouri State's lack of size inside, they have outrebounded there opponents in all but one game, with a few of the teams featuring bigger forwards (St. Louis grabbed 3 more) Undersized Mitchell and Lamberth seem to have a good nose for the ball, and have been rebounding pretty well. Mind you, they do have 6'9senior Drew Richards to help out.

Of the Bears 8 players who average double digit minutes (4 are seniors, 3 are juniors and 1 is a sophomore) This Bears squad has experience, has made the NIT's each of the past 3 years. I expect a hard fought battle, decided in the final few minutes.

OK...lets make up for yesterdays setback.

Tonight Im on Fairfield at -2.5
I saw Fairfield play against Cincinnati and Georgetown both on the road. This team is very gritty led by Jonathon Han. The Stags have a good balance of postplay and guardplay.
Yale has had a rough go of it thus far, having difficulty putting the ball in the net. I just think Yale has the bodies inside to contain Anthony Johnson and Yorel Hawkins.
Give Fairfield a big rebounding edge which will lead to alot of easy putbacks. Fairfield hasnt played at home in 2 weeks, and will be excited to play infront of their home crowd.

No time to break this one down, but give me Bradley Braves at +4.5

The game Bradley's been looking forward to all year and the game Michigan St. hasn't been looking forward to.
Look for the home crowd to play a huge home court advantage. Tonight we see just how good Michigan St really is. I'm not sold yet.

                              Thanks guys...its been fun!

I'm going to step out, and cash out while I'm ahead.
Starting a new job and all will make it extremely difficult for me to handicap games anymore! Its been fun guys....Goodluck, and hope some of you cashed on my 63% over the past few weeks!
