Guys I love the Horns, go to a lot of the games and all their bowl games. But this young team is in a horrible matchup here as the fav. This line should be USC -5.

They simply do not play enough defense to match up against a good jump shot team like USC. USC has had a few ice cold games mostly against good defenses but in true USC fashion sometimes they just don't show up. But if they play an average game they win.

Hey John,
Texas has really stepped up their D the last few games, though you are correct in saying their perimeter D is a little worse than their interior. Still, if USC does pull the upset today, I think you'll be able to point a long finger of blame in Rick Barnes' direction. Matchup-wise, I think both offenses have the advantage. Coaching-wise, it's USC by a mile. Hell, Durant may not get a FG attempt in the 2nd half tonight. But the talent pool is clearly in favor of Texas. I hope you're wrong as I got talked into placing a few units on the horns, but I feel as though you may be right, albeit for a slightly different reason than you mentioned. I actually like UT's perceived youth disadvantage as an advantage for them, because they haven't been completely tainted by Barnes yet. Occasionally, they still play on instinct, when they thrive. Should be a good one...

I picked Texas to go to the Final 4, so I'm going with them -2 and also in a parlay with Nevada on the ML.

I wouldn't come anywhere close to betting a side in this one, but it will be one of the most fun games to watch. Too many unknowns and uncertainties IMO, the line seems about right to me.
