I've been watching USC Basketball for years, and this is first time I've felt good about who their coach is..

Seems like he has a good relationship with players and he is a solid recuriter as USC is getting MAYO next year...

That's the key. He should stick to college like others before him (Lon Krueger comes to mind). Floyd was an up and comer at UNO (University of New Orleans) and did great things for Iowa State. The NBA gig just doesn't suit some folks.

I agree with you guys about him sticking to college.

Should of made the title "...a great college coach."

He didn't exactly recruit mayo... they weren't even going after him at all, and OJ just called and said that he was coming because he wanted the Matt/Reggie treatment in LA...

Man, he is the poster boy for "staying in college instead of going pro". I can't believe I didn't use him in my example. Very good, sir.

Floyd is proving today that he is pretty damn good. When you are as one dimensional as Texas is, it is pretty hard to move on in a tournament like this. Pretty easy to say that now that the USC-Texas game is almost over. I've seen comments about Barnes in different threads on here but he sure seems to have gotten stale in the past few years.

John Calipari is another example. Very good college coach (not great) but his act doesn't play in the NBA.

I think Pitino could coach well in the NBA. What killed him was Pitino the general manager. What a disaster.
