    Tennessee vs Ohio State
Take Tennessee +5 vs Ohio St

    Game Time: 3/22/2007 9:55:00 PM -

The Vols and the points are the right play this evening when Tennessee faces Greg Oden and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

The AiS shows a 3* grading for Tennessee when they face Ohio State. The Vols have been a very strong rebounding team this seasons and have really focused on being even better at limiting second chance opportunities to opponents.

UT is 13-4 against the spread after a game giving up five or less offensive rebounds since 1997. Tennessee has won five of six and is playing their best basketball of the season right now. The Vols are 11-3 against the spread after having won five or six of their last seven games this season. The fast paced nature of the UT offense and their strong team defense will be the difference and will completely neutralize the bigger size of Ohio State.

In fact, I think Greg Oden will be a near non-factor in this game as he does not play well in faster paced games that Tennessee likes to play. UT is 18-9 against the spread after scoring 75 points or more two straight games over the last two seasons.

    Play: Tennessee +5

Look for favored Ohio State to control the tempo in this contest and slow down the run-and-gun Volunteers, keeping this game safely below the posted total.

Yes, Tennessee is capable of lighting up the scoreboard, but this is a high total for any game involving Ohio State.

The Buckeyes are only allowing 60.4 points per game on 39.7 percent shooting for the whole year, and the average combined total score in all Ohio State games of 134.3 points in more than 10 points less than this posted total. Now granted, the Volunteers love to run the court, but the Buckeyes usually do an excellent of playing games at their pace, especially when they are favored. In fact, the Under is now 44-22 the last 66 times that Oho State has turned up as a favorite.

Also do not forget that this is a rematch of a regular season meeting back in January, when these teams combined for only 134 points in a narrow 68-66 Buckeye victory. We look for more of the same in here.

    Play: Tennessee-Ohio State Under 145
