Virginia Tech(-3.5) - Lock of the damn year. Should be easy moneyyyyy. Hokies have had success on the road in the ACC this year, are the way more talented team, are fighting for NCAA Tourney seeding and ACC standings. Justin Robinson is red hot in his last 5 games, scoring season highs several times and averaging close to a double double with assists. GT head coach Josh Pastner is facing rape allegations and recruiting violations to an assistant. The Jackets have quite a few injuries and several players playing through injury. Virginia Tech loves to get to the line and play a deep rotation where as GT is basically a 6 man rotation. I could write-up several paragraphs on this game but it really comes down the Hokies just taking care of business. This would be a bad loss for VT, a team that should be a lock into the tourney as long as they don't faceplant here.
Auburn(-6) Auburn is also fighting for NCAA seeding and Bruce Pearl has his team confidant as ever. Frank Martin's USC team is completely falling apart at the seams, getting devastated by nearly 30points at home to Florida last game. Gamecocks looked despondent and he questioned his players' effort. If Auburn gets an early lead, wouldn't be surprised if USC rolled over.
Florida(-2) Gators have been cash for me all year. This is a team that is deadly from 3 if either Hudson or "3gor" (Koulechov) are finding their stroke. If both are, look out. Jalen Hudson is a DUDE and this is the time of the year for dude's to ball out. Overall I just think this line is too close for all the talent and what it means for Florida.
Huge slate today, there will be additions as these picks only run through 4pm. Also, leaning Syracuse(+4.5) at noon. Syracuse has a ton of length and Miami has been sooo inconsistant and reckless with the ball. That could be a major liability against Boehim's zone, which should thoroughly confuse the 'Canes. X-factor here though is whether Miami can chuck 'em up and have 'em fall, and they have a found an additional sharpshooter in Sam Waardenburg who is shooting around 70% from 3 in the last few games after barely playing all year. Edit: PASS. Syracuse turned the ball over 15times on Wednesday night, and allowed NCST to shoot 10/13 from 3. Having said that, they somehow only lost by 4. With Miami's pre-season AA Bruce Brown struggling this year, and the 'Canes replacing him with the 5'7" Sykes, they have an even bigger size deficit. There are plenty of reasons to bet AGAINST Miami but there isn't many other reasons to bet FOR Syracuse. However, one reason to pick Miami is their zone-busting 3-point shooting from Vasiljevic and Waardenburg, and they only lost to UVA by 9. My brain won't let me pick a team with as low IQ as Miami, so I'll pass. Gut says Orange keep it close.
NCST(+2.5)
