A huge difference in shooting percentage. I'm betting that gap closes. (Shots are even (35 for VCU with FT's divided by 2, and 36 for Duke. Duke has more rebounds because VCU has more misses.)

How do you hit 4 of 18, with all 4 scores coming from 3 pt land? I didn't see the game, but would say Marquette has a hard time getting to the hoop. And their defense is playing too soft, not giving up a single FT! Still, 44% difference in shooting... I have to take Marquette -2.5.

      2H Marquette -2.5

Marquette should be able to come back and make it competitive, this team did beat Pitt even without McNeal.

1-1 for these for the night. Marquette got close. Glad Duke is out.

Probably not the best idea to bet on teams that shoot in the low 20's for 1H. Suggests a lack of competitiveness.

I like it, I think BYU has the edge on getting the outright win here. They have the latent and motivation to get it done, I don't see them collapsing in the 2H.

Based on the halftime stats only it would have been a no play. Numbers nearly identical. A 3% difference in shooting would have slightly favored Xavier.
