Kenna Young gives BYU the best player on the floor in this 8-9 matchup with Xavier. Take the Cougars and the points against the Musketeers.

All I have to say in this one is Keena Young.

Young was the Mountain West Player of the Year and he helped propel the Cougars to being the top scoring team in the Mountain West at 78.1 points per game. Not only will BYU have the best player in this game, they will also have the overwhelming edge on the boards.

Xavier is 9-23 against the spread in road games when they grab 4 to 9 fewer rebounds than their opponents in a game since 1997. BYU is also 33-17 against the spread when they score 75-80 points in a game since 1997. Xavier won’t be able to stop the more offensively-talented Cougars here today. The Cougars beat the books in a barnburner.

I'd agree with BYU, they are really gunning for a tourney win, while Xavier doesn't seem to have quite the same urgency. Plus BYU also has a bit more talent IMO.

With the way the day shaped up, Im surprised they got that hoop to get the cover for a dog.

This had to be the most boring 1st day I could remember. Not many exciting games, or big favorites in real trouble. Along with all the chalk cashing in.
