Boston College -3 vs Texas Tech

The Bobby Knight factor is the only reason Texas Tech got an invite this year. Look for Boston College to win and cover behind star Jared Dudley.
There were a number of head-scratcher moves the NCAA Committee made in deciding the field of 64 this year, and the inclusion of the Texas Tech Red Raiders was certainly one of them.
Maybe the mystique and bravado of head coach Bobby Knight was enough to install them as the 10 seed in the East Region, but I’m not buying it. This club has had some pathetic losses this year, which include a 29-point drubbing at Texas than a 12-point loss at home to the Horns, and home losses to Nebraska, Oklahoma, and UNLV. They shockingly pulled off home wins over Kansas and Texas A&M, but I’ll just chalk that up to something being added to their Wheaties for the pre-game meal. This is not one of the better Big 12 squads this season, and you’ll see why after a mediocre Boston College club thrashes them.
This is the fourth consecutive tournament appearance for Al Skinner's team. Boston College advanced to the Sweet 16 last year before losing to Villanova. Most recently, they fell to the UNC Tarheels in the ACC Tourney. Stud Jared Dudley had an off game that day, and there’s no doubt he’ll look to step it up in this tourney with this being his senior campaign.
We’ll ride the Eagles here laying this manageable number knowing full well they possess the best player on the court.
