The Xavier Musketeers are the class of the A-10 Tournament. Back the X-Men as big favorites today when they take on the Rhode Island Rams.
The X-Men opened the A-10 tournament in impressive fashion blowing out Dayton, 72-51. This afternoon they'll face a Rhode Island team that they beat by 26 points less than three weeks ago.
Xavier, who shared the Atlantic 10 regular season title with UMass, comes in with a 24-7 overall record and pretty much a lock for the NCAA tournament. But the Musketeers dont want to leave any doubt in the minds of the selection committee and, if nothing else, are motivated by the possibility of a much higher seed.
Xavier is head and shoulders above everyone else in this tournament. They'll show it again today.
