Because Duke isnt that good of a team, at home or not. I really would love to see Duke lose this game straight up, and I didnt even wager on it.

Pags I agree wholeheartedly. I am down close to 10 units on NCAA basketball this year and I never risked anything bigger than half a unit. I am done with it for the year. College basketball just isn't my forte.

Your right though Looker. This years Duke team is unlike the ones they have had in years past. Really you could say the same thing about Uconn this year as well though. I mean the talent is there, but it's just not gelling like it once did.

BTW, I have FSU +9 today, and I'm just hoping they just cover for me.

I mean I feel like I've had a pretty good year in college hoops but it's just very difficult emotionally...lots of swings and fouls at the end...teams up by 10 getting 7.5 and they lose by 20...teams plus multiple possessions losing in OT by 6...intentional fouls at the end of game...Duke owning the refs (except for today) and UVA having to make circus shots to stay in the game...it just goes on and on...it's just really a ****** sport...lucky I enjoy watching it or there'd be no reason to bet it...

oh yeah and **** you Penn St.!...**** you on getting me to think you guys were worth a shit this year...what a bunch of fucks...

4 more weeks of regular season
conference tourneys
then it's time for the big dance...

Lines are getting tight too ... five plays tonight:

Michigan +13 - push. Joke push, but still.
Wyoming +4 - push. Winning for most of the first 32 minutes, then they get down 8 and end up hitting right on the number.
LSU +6 - win, not even a good play really. Would have pushed if they hadn't hit a 3 at the buzzer.
St. Joe's +11.5 - lost by 5.5 despite only scoring 39 points
San Diego State +2 - won by 24, but the public got massacred because they inexplicably backed AFA here.

Point of the post - it's hard to make big plays now because the lines are really sharp. If you see a line where there appears to be a lot of value, you might be looking at a mirage.

reduce your unit size when that happens or do you keep the same unit size(s) (I'm flat betting right now) and simply shop more selectively for plays?

Yeah that desperation 3 in the Tenn/LSU game definitely cost me on the game and on my 2nd half bet! I fvcking hate betting on college bball right now... I am just getting straight ass raped... I don't even know what to think... I want the NFL back already. I made soo much money on the playoffs this year it was unbelievable! Now we have this shit roundball sport to bet on! As with Pags, I love watching, but this hokey shit at the end of games is getting rediculous!

Mirage is a great way to put it. I've laid off these when I come accross them and I'm usually correct in having done so, I just wish I could have the courage to lay down on the seemingly 'no-value' eventual winning side as opposed to just laying off.

I would have to disagree with some of your comments. This year is shaping out to be one of my best in recent years in CBB for some. I don't think everyone is doing that badly.

That's not what the thread is about. Pags is up 23 units on the season, he is just saying that from an emotional standpoint, he is having a hard time coping.
