The committee practically gifted Gonzaga a Final Four appearance considering the Zags already dismantled each of the top 4 seeds in their region earlier in the season. You can argue Iowa, Kansas, and Virginia were all the weakest of their respective seeds as well. Yes, GIFTED. Don’t misunderstand me, Gonzaga is the best team in the country (although I picked OREGON ST to win it all), but USC absolutely poses a threat here because of their front court. Timme has tremendous skill but plays below the rim. He’ll have his hands full tonight, and Gonzaga isn’t a deep team, especially in the front court like they’ve been in years prior. While I expect Gonzaga to win the game, I don’t blame anyone for betting USC tonight ATS. ESPECIALLY FOR THE FIRST HALF. The line seems high to me. *

Enjoyed your write up. Everything seems to point to USC tonight. Public on zaga - lots of hype. line could be overinflated. I think you;re right with USC coming out hot and keeping it close then zags pulling away towards the end. Really uncertain if they'll cover the number. Wiht that said, I locked in my bet early Zags -8. I also parlayed both favorites and both unders.

If I'm right i believe this turns in to a track meet the 2nd half and I think Gonzaga covers the number easily. If USC picks its spots in transition and slows it down when needed I think it could be a close game. It pains me to say it becuase I'm not the biggest Gonzaga fanComment -

This should be a fantastic Elite 8 matchup, but it’s one I expect the undefeated Bulldogs to win.
Gonzaga has found a way to defeat every elite team it has faced this year, regardless of its style of play. Few’s team earned impressive early-season wins over teams with substantial interior size such as Iowa (Luka Garza), West Virginia (Derek Culver and Oscar Tshiebwe), and Virginia (Jay Huff).
