Hi, relatively new to betting on Basketball and several things have come to mind already. It appears there's a high volume of matches that simply don't go with the odds in terms of the match results. Already got caught out by two faves that looked nailed on in first handful of bets. Have used a handicap on one and got pummeled when Olimpia Milano (at Barcelona) conceded a 25-2 run in the final quarter to go from my +11.5 AH bet on them leading with 18 points to spare, subsequently ending up losing by 5, a 23 point collapse with approx only 6 mins remaining on the clock. That was a defining moment for me as to how unpredictable this game can be.
So, I've been following some pics on here last few days, not actually placing them though, however there is one I may well do tonight as I can't help thinking that the tip of Cincinnati v South Florida U 132.5 should actually be an Over 132.5 based on my calculations. Let's see what happens.
In relation to the Tulane - Memphis game, I'm struggling to come up with an U or O number but can't help noticing that Memphis odds to win the match at 1.22 look ridiculously short and is there anything to suggest they are actually the favourite? I can't see it therefore a handicap on Tulane looks appealing. They recently drew 60 each in regular, and went 67/74 to Memphis in OT. That was only the second of 71 matches for Memphis that went to OT anywhere, so the probability of that happening again looks slim. I won't bet this one but curious as to what others think.
Thanks

I took the Over 132.5 on Cincinnati - S Florida as it looked unmissable value at just below even money. Found it strange how Oddsportal O/U odds only ran up to 140 points, yet these two went head to head 146 and 151 last season. My calcs suggested low 140's with other recent stats for each team in the equation. S Florida's Murphy looked tricky, the match started at a superb pace with both teams free scoring but it turned into a slog second half. In terms of the match result, anyone know why Cincinnati were wrongly so short?
Result Cincinatti 71 - S Florida 74

Thanks, I'm equally pleased despite not actually placing it, by the +9.5 I'd calculated here on paper as being about right for Tulane. Considering the previous one between them went to overtime, odds of 2.10 looked phenomenal value for that margin.

Statistically very hard to see anything but a Home Win for Southern Illinois v a poor on the road North Dakota. SI's scoring rate at home is low but they don't concede many and tend to win by low margins thus any handicap looks too close to call for me. 9 of their last 10 home matches have only averaged 128 points (I didn't include their recent 102-61 which looks a freak result).
Interestingly N Dakota have gone 18 away matches since they played an away Under 140 pointer, maybe they'll break that sequence here? Can't see any obvious value in this match but despite that I'm backing S.Illinois. Odds 1.30
Need some advice please on the NCAAB. There seems to be an alarming difference in ability between some of the teams in this tournament. I watched Richmond Spiders a few nights ago, they were excellent, then there was San Diego State who on the night only came close due to to Matt Marshall, but for him they would have got wacked, conversely the opponents Brigham Young were very impressive. Tonight I watched George Mason v VMI and the standard of both teams was abysmal in all areas, which got me thinking, I need to check the stats again for the bets I've placed these last few weeks to see if I can find any trends from this tournament.
Well sure enough they don't lie, because of the last 21 basket bets I've placed, when sorted by points scored (all in regular time), all 7 of the NCAAB bets I've placed are in the bottom 9 of that filter. This has lead me to ask the forum members for their opinions on the overall standard of the tournament. What's the estimated percentage of professional full time teams (if any), and your own experiences of watching it. Are there any teams that can be counted as significantly better than most of the opposition? Thanks

Everything embedded in Line.. You gotta find your own edge /value and bet.. Although I must mention Pinnacle Lines are Razor sharp so not much of margin of error barring a few EXOTIC GAMES.. GL
