I'm pretty sure the students are off for winter break..... and that's why they are advertising tickets available for tonights game. That kinda takes a little of the "home advantage" away from Creighton.

I wish I had more info on this.... but Creighton has a player coming back tonight.... playing his first game of the season. Not sure of his name. He's supposed to be a decent player.... but the coach said its going to take a few games to get his legs back. So while I think this will be helpful down the road.... if anything it might hurt them tonight. IMO

The Omaha crowd tonight is going to be blah. Students are back home. People focused on Christmas. Much different than the Wichita atmosphere.

You may be right about the wrong team being favored but the students being on break really doesn't matter. The majority of fans going to their games are people living in Omaha and not students, they have a tiny student body with around 4k undergrad and around 50 percent of them went to high school within an hour of Omaha so they can easily attend any game they want even if they went home.

Regarding the tickets being available, they will have thousands of available tickets for most games this year, they had a huge drop off on season sales and even though their single game prices are reasonable the demand just isn't there.

I live in Omaha and Ive been to over 100 games. I do think it matters not to have a student section. The games without students just seem so blah. But its Oklahoma so maybe the fans will wake up.

General public will fill in the student sections for the next 4 games, won't be the same but at least there will be bodies in the lower end behind the basket where the students are.

My buddy who has way too much knowledge about Creighton sent me the available ticket counts at the box office for the next 6 games for what its worth....was just trying to say the team is down on attendance this year and only the Nebraska game and Nova will most likely draw 18k with most games being under 17k, which is still a ton
