Love this rivalry. Crowd will be HYPE at the Cintas Center. Xavier players slept at a hotel last night - staying focused.
I expect Tyrique Jones to be physical in the paint and on the boards in the matchup with UC’s Vogt, who is bigger but has not had this tough of a matchup yet. To that point, many of cincy’s key players have not been involved in this rivalry game before. Jarron Cumberland has for sure, but he is banged up so we’ll see how he looks. Xavier’s seniors and juniors know the drill and will be ready to go to war. X defense will cause UC turnovers from Cincy newcomers handling the ball.
If X makes some big shots I like them to ultimately pull off a double digit victory.
