Florida has had one of the best defenses in the nation for a couple of years now, and as a result the UNDER is a sparkling 19-8 in its last 27 SEC Conference games.
The Gators are allowing just 56.8 points per game this season while limiting their opponents to only 38.6 percent shooting from the floor. Moreover, Florida is allowing 51.1 points per game on a microscopic 36.8 percent shooting in this building. Fittingly the Gators went easily UNDER in their conference home opener on Saturday, a 67-51 victory over Georgia.
Now Arkansas has not exactly been embarrassed defensively so far this season either, allowing 62.1 points per game on 39.6 percent shooting from the field. Yes the Razorbacks are averaging 70.0 points per game on the road, but we do not expect them to approach that total tonight vs. this suffocating Gator defense. Interestingly Arkansas has also been dismal from the free throw line on the road, hitting just 55.6 percent of its foul shots away from home, while Florida is only converting 63.6 percent of its free throws at home. This should limit the tack-on points in the late stages of this contest.
