I know I often say my capping mostly numbers but man I have no clue bout this Grand Canyon team?? Honestly didn't even know they existed before today! And I know little something of most the 300 something div 1 teams!! Don't even know what freaking conference they in!! I'm assuming their games not lined very often and/or they have also just recently jumped to div 1???

I can certainly see the angles for playing against johnies here and several guys I respect on this site and ctg on the Grand Canyon side,, just seemed like a good game for me to pass on if I'm truly attempting to be little more selective!! Lol

Only took nova whipping my ass 2-3 times to realize they better than I was giving them credit for. Lol., Just seemed like awful matchup for zags and honestly felt like being at msg gave us value as being lined like a neutral court when in fact it like a second home to nova!!

That Johnies game gonna tip incredibly late which I certainly think a disadvantage, also one would assume Grand Canyon being the virtual unknown they are this game potentially type of deal where it means way more to them. But yea I saw no reason to get involved, and you know me I'm usually willing to fire at anything!! Lol

GCU is coached by Dan Majerle. It's in Glendale, AZ. Been D-1 for a few years, but this is the first year they are tourney eligible. They've done a lot with juco transfers. Last year Pitino took the Cards to play in their gym and it was a very close game. If you see them playing a true home game, good chance they cover the number. This game is not in their gym tonight. It's in the Suns arena. They've finished 11-3 in the WAC the last two seasons. Up and coming mid major(?).

When I was in H.S. you could get into the Big east tournament in the Garden, first day, 4 games for virtually nothing. I went to a Jesuit H.S. and remember a Priest giving me and 3 of my boys tickets day of, knowing full well we were gonna cut out and hit those games up that started mid day. Was the hey day, Big East was the dominant conference with ACC on the upswing. Pearl Washington, Mullin, Ewing, Easy Ed Pinckney, I could go on and on. Great thing was that first day garden was fairly empty, we would roll up to the mid level seats and roll up and smoke weed, no problem. Grab beers with fake id's no problem, bang out with some kids in from Boston no problem! And not get thrown out! Wow how times have changed. Anyway, sorry for another day in the life. Definitely don't want to hit the hay without giving Valvano his props,....dude knew how to reach people and live life!

That awesome man I loved the old big east.. my thing when we were in junior high/high school it was incredibly cheap to go to blues games back then at the old barn,, we would get blues/blackhawks playoff tix for like 12 bucks!
