Kent State is the right play tonight when the Golden Flashes travel to Cleveland State to take on the Vikings.
This is an interesting matchup here as new Cleveland State head coach Gary Waters is ex-Kent coach that had a lot of success with the Flashes.
Kent swept the series last year, though the Vikings covered both, winning by three at Cleveland St and by 15 on their home court. The difference in talent here is obvious. Kent comes off a double-OT loss to a very good Butler team that was playing their third game in four nights. The only other Kent blemish was getting smoked at Ohio State, arguably the best team in the country.
CSU hasn't done much wrong, but their wins are against teams like John Carrol and the losses were to Buffalo, by four, and at Evansville, by 13 points). Kent takes care of business and is a perfect 4-0 as a favorite this year. The Flashes are 6-1 straight up recently in the series, but just 3-5 ATS, often saddled with ridiculous number. Four points is more than manageable here and the Flashes should walk out of here with an easy 10-point road win.
