Does +28.5 count as a bad beat when it's 27-25 at halftime and you still lose?
What the F....

I don't think so. They outscored them by 30 something in the 2nd half of 1 of their games this year.

in these situations when playing a huge dog like this is to take the first half and the points
and first half ml as well
you get some extra points
for instance portland +23 for half +14
first half went 27-32
second half went 32-49
final 81-58
particularly at home getting alot of points

Any data to show if this rings true long term?

Well, you can add Eastern Carolina to this list as they were a 14 point dog to Houston. They were losing by 1 at the half and then lost the 2nd half by 21.

They shave the first half to even the money for second half bets.
just take a look throughout the CBB games for ranked teams and compare to 2h halves.
Its OK imo to break things when pissed

Most these teams lack scorers off the bench, and with no depth you can get hot for awhile, but it won't last over the course of a full game usually.
