I just can't stand listening to him. Everything he says is so ridiculous. Yes he was a great player but he's a joke as an announcer. He literally irritates me to the point that if I'm on a game that he's calling I have to mute the game. How and why does he still have this job??

So many love him, and I'll never get it. His shtick is obnoxious. Though, he may just be that dumb. I'm glad I don't watch many games that he calls. Mainly because I avoid watching, or betting on them. I can't watch a game on mute.Comment -

Bill oftentimes berates the guy who is calling the game with him.
For me, Bill is kind of like Denis Leary. I liked both Denis and Bill at first because they were way out there and it was kind of entertaining. Bill with his odd subjects and Denis with his pissed-off attitude.
Both of those get rather tiring after a few times hearing it. Ok, ok, Denis, we get it. You're pissed off. Now shut up. It's getting old. And Bill, it's as though you're just trying to think of something cute to say rather than calling a good game because that kind of thing worked for you years ago.
Another one was Chris Berman with his "back, back, back, back....gone!" Yes, it was funny Chris but move on to something else. He eventually did and I wish Walton and Leary would too.Comment -
